The restaurant is great, the food is amazing the staff are great to deal with and always so friendly. I witnessed a few people getting angry because there food wasn’t done fast, people need to understand the grill can only make the food so fast or else people will get a raw burger and still complain. We are in the year 2022, it’s time people start to wake and actually think about the situation before they start complaining. Remember if you are feeling stressed because your food isn’t done fast enough imagine how the employees feel behind the counter making your food. Great place
Came with a large group of people to Burger Delight one Tuesday evening after having had dinner at Frosty John's. We were enticed by the idea of having a delicious funnel cake. We went into Burger Delight but realized that they were closing in 15 minutes. We discussed leaving because we didn't want to be one of "those" customers but a man at the cash register, who said he was the owner, told us it was not a problem at all and insisted we stay. We ordered three funnel cakes to go. One with the strawberry sauce, one with ice cream and just a plain one. The owner instructed his employee to make the funnel cakes and about 10 minutes later we were handed our takeout containers. We took a quick minute drive up the road to a destination where we were going to eat our funnel cakes before disbanding for the night. When we opened the take away container we were all shocked at the greasy and sloppy looking mess that was apparently a funnel cake. Please refer to my attached photo to see for yourself. What a joke. The funnel cake was soggy and gross. Smelled like it was cooked in oil that had been frying fries all day. There was literally no icing sugar. It was inedible. $30 wasted. One member of our party called and spoke to the owner about this garbage they served us and he wanted to make it right if we came back but at this point the damage was done. Nobody wanted to go back to Burger Delight. The more honorable thing for the staff to do would have been to apologize and tell us they couldn't make the funnel cake and just refund the money. We would have completely understood. But no. To serve us this mess and think that we would be ok with it, what an insult.
Have went here a few times over the years and always had good service and the food was always pretty good. Not sure if there is new owners or something but just went recently and although the food was decent the rest was not. The two people that were working behind the counter were wearing what I would call get into your comfy clothes to relax before bed clothes yet your cooking food for people. You don't have to have some crazy uniform but at least try to show you care about what your doing. The one employee seemed to have a group of friends that was hanging out in the place and they were all going back and forth behind the counter and grabbing fries from the fry bowl. The person adding the toppings to the burgers was literally grabbing them all with bare hands no gloves or even tongs. Again the food taste wise was decent. Price wise I would call it somewhere it the middle not amazing but not horrible either but could be better.
I showed up at 7:23 p.m. to find that they were closed even though the sign says they close at 8. And to think,.. this would have been my first ever time trying funnel cake. I was really looking forward to it! ... Sigh.
Sept. 24th-BEWARE!! POTENTIAL FOOD ILLNESS!! CROSS CONTAMINATION!! Shame on the owner for not caring about customer concerns! The employee was touching raw meat with unwashed bare hands after just touching the phone, cash register and debit machine followed by picking up toppings without washing her hands, wearing gloves or even using utensils!!! I was truly disgusted! I’ve worked in the food industry and have certificates in food safety so I’m aware of what she was doing wrong. When I asked for a refund after waiting an hour and two failed attempts on my burger, the employee decided to keep a 15% tip for herself! I didn’t notice this until the next day. When I returned, I asked for the owners contact info. She came back to the front of the store and said he doesn’t want to give you his contact number and that I could yell over speaker phone what my “problem is”. The owner started going off and was quite hostile to me. I wasn’t going to yell over him about what this employee was doing wrong. Since he didn’t want to talk with me I told him I would leave my review here. Although the employee was rude, had no etiquette, was inexperienced and untrained, the whole reason why I was contacting the owner was for reasons more serious then those! How the owner handled himself was an embarrassment to his establishment, since there were customers in the store. Nothing I did as a concerned parent ready to feed her child this food was the problem! I’m glad I saw what she was doing and didn’t risk eating the food! Employees like this, that are unaware about food safety, should not be working a position that requires food prep, unless they are properly trained to do so. The owner needs to rectify this issue immediately or I will contact the food inspectors to ensure you take this seriously!
This place is amazing. The food is awesome, the workers are so dedicated and nice. It doesn't take that long to make and it's always so delicious. Me and my friends come here multiple times and the food keep getting better and better. I highly recommend coming here all the time
I give it two stars because my son said the food was pretty good, but we were the only ones in the restaurant when we placed an order and we waited 30 minutes for a 1 plain cheeseburger and a 1 poutine. PS the burger was definitely over cooked while they waiting for the Fry’s Wow. If you can’t make a burger in five minutes, you should get out of the restaurant business.
Arrived at 8:11pm, 49 minutes prior to closing. Right away the staff were extremely unpleasant, especially the blonde in the back. She made us feel like it was an inconvenience to serve us. I was going to ask for money back and leave, however my memory of the burger was worth the price increase and rude employee. I ordered a double burger and single burger and received 2 singles. The burgers were over cooked and dry. It is unfortunate how disappointing this trip to the burger joint was as used to be a frequent customer. Horrible customer service and a overcooked burger, to say the least I will not be back.
I’ve tried giving this place a few chances after screwing my order up quite a few times. Time after time. But this time is my last. I understand it’s New Year’s Eve and everyone wants to get home, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that: 1. The cook didn’t wear a hairnet. I had 2 hairs in my barely cook, pink burger patty, and 2. I ordered a poutine, and never got it. I ordered through Uber. I tried to call the restaurant at exactly 8:00pm, and no answer. I drove up the street to them, because I don’t live far. Got to the parking lot at 8:06pm and it was lights out, no one in the parking lot. A shame really.
I just had an amazing experience at Burger Delight. The service was excellent and Crystal was very friendly and made me the best burger and fries that I’ve had in a very long time. It was my first time here and I’ll be returning. Better than home-cooked quality without the mess I would have made if I did it myself. Thank you.
