My son and I went for lunch, the service was great, the food was great.... everything you'd expect from a "casual dining" chain. He had Chicken Tacos and I had the Cubano SandwichFood: 5/5
First time dinning at Browns Socialhouse in Prince George. Ordered fries, calimari, and blackened chicken Alfredo. Food was delicious and I have no complaints. Definitely pricey though but if your looking to splurg on a night out then you can't go wrong here. I enjoyed they had an outdoor patio area as it was a lot quieter out there compared to being inside. Would recommend to others but I would mention the higher price to them beforehand.
Good Atmosphere, good service Server Michelle really well took care of us Good was ok to be honest but pricey Good for the casual dine only at the happy hours time
This was our second visit to Brown’s Socialhouse in Prince George, and I was coming back specifically for their Sesame Ginger Gyoyza, which I found were the best dumplings we’ve had so far in Prince George. We also like their homemade tortilla chips and this time Hector ordered the loaded nachos with beef. This time we sat in their little sunroom addition, because even though it’s all glassed in there are big propane heaters overhead splashing down the heat. I’ve been so cold at all the restaurants we have been to with Feb/Mar 2023 cold snap I’ve had to wear my coat in the restaurants, so it’s nice to sit in a place and actually be warm. Of course, Hector was complaining that he felt like a rotisserie chicken. Our server Sydney was friendly and bubbly and super helpful and quick. Brown Socialhouse was playing music that was sort of jazzy and mellow so the sunroom had a nice ambiance even though it wasn’t in the main dining/bar area. Browns Socialhouse was the only restaurant that had fully cleared their sidewalks out front and it was a nice level parking lot so that was a nice thing for seniors like us. Hector decided to have a drink and ordered a Captains Morgan spiced rum and sprite. Sydney our server came back with it so fast she must’ve communicated telepathically with the bartender to grab it and turn around and bring it back so fast. This was a Monday night so it wasn’t super busy, but she was still exceptionally fast even for that. It was the same for our food, it seems she must have telepathically transmitted our order to the kitchen she came back so fast with Hector’s loaded nachos with the extra beef and the sesame ginger gyoza for me. The dumplings lived up to the last experience, very tasty for the dumpings themselves and they have this delicious chili sauce on the plate which really enhances them… very flavorful with just a tiny touch of heat. Hector really enjoy the loaded nachos which is definitely big enough for a meal, especially with the extra ground beef on top, Even had some to take home for tomorrow... I took a picture of Sydney with our takeout box, Showing her great smile, and and the great and Van send their sunroom.
Great food, awesome service! It is a tad bit noisy in there hence the 4 stars but it was still a fun atmosphere, albeit the noise. We went on a Friday so it was really busy as well. No complaints! Went again for brunch, my waffles were delicious
The first disappointing meal we’ve had at Browns. Service was great but food very mediocre. Cowboy salad was dull lumps of lettuce and cabbage- a might of had one tiny piece of fig . Fish tacos were too messy and overdressed with cilantro to eat.Food: 3/5
Our server we think was a new girl, or she seemed a little nervous. But she was very good and friendly. Our food was pretty good. I did find the calamari too salty and was disappointed in the sauce that accompanied it. It was more of a Tatar sauce as opposed to a Tzatziki sauce. A few of our group felt the price for the food they got a was a little too much. But I get it, now days with inflation it's hitting everyone. My Biggest pet peav is having to download a 3rd party app by Yelp to reserve a table! I was very infuriated by this. If you want my business I shouldn't need to use a app to reserve. With technology these days there's no need for that. Tons of other better restaurants don't require you to use an app let alone a 3rd party app! Honestly everyone at our table was surprised by this and few wanted to go else where because of this.
Love this restaurant. Staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful. Food is so amazing. Everything is made fresh in house, so you can customize your meals. Dietary restrictions: Everything is made fresh in house, so you can customize your meals. Don’t want crust on your Cod, just ask for it to be pan fried.
Very lovely atmosphere and lighting. The waiters/waitresses are amazing and very friendly. Could stop by the table a little less often. We had the little nachos, butter chicken curry, and butchers block burger. Little nachos were delicious but everything stuck to the baking paper they had them on so it was tough to eat without chewing paper if you didn't know. Did not have as much of a problem with this the last time I was here, probably just a busy night. The naan was pretty good for the curry but everything else I did not really enjoy. It was very spicy, which normally is fine, but it drowned out all the other flavors the tomatoes were really the only thing I tasted. The chicken was tough/overcooked and didn't taste like much. On the other hand, boyfriend said butcher's block tasted delicious, one of the best burgers he's had. We both had the fries and they are very tough and dry, would not order again, probably substitute for onion rings next time. For the prices of the food, it is not the best choice of dining.
Every time you visit them they are always out with slushes. Server won’t tell you upfront about it. Full loaded nachos was half of the quantity. Lettuce tofu wrap came out without noodles on it. What a ripoff.Food: 1/5
