I have ordered twice from Breen's (boulders) once for 7 yards and recently 35 yards of boulders. Both times, I had excellent experiences. Professional, kind, prompt, and accommodating. The driver Rodney was outstanding. From ordering to receiving, both of my experiences were fantastic. I will always use Breen's for boulders and highly recommend them to everyone!

I wish I would have read the reviews first. I contacted Breen's as they have many photos of substantial work with regards to sea walls as I was having a water drainage issue on our property. It was recommended by the owner (Rob) to have a dry well put in place at the edge of my property as drilling into the steel sea wall wasn't worth the risk of compromising it. I also asked them to remove our flower beds and prep the area for holly bushes. In between that conversation and the work day, I had spoken many times with his son Derek about the work, as Derek was running the project. I asked that we not have large berms for the holly's as we have a small yard and he agreed we would do that. I also wanted to ensure they would be removing the roses of sharon that would be right in the path of the soon to be hedge line which was agreed about. They were about 7 feet high with less than a 6 inch diameter trunk.
On the day of the work, only Rob showed up. A few hours into the process I could tell things were not going well. Firstly, the berm was about as wide as the orginal flower beds (about 4 feet) and the Roses of Sharen were not removed. I spoke to the workers who said they had no idea about these aspects and suggested I called Rob, as Derek was sick. Rob said they would take down the roses of sharon but Derek never told him and didn't know of the conversation which apparently is my fault because it would be 400 dollars to remove. 400 DOLLARS. Rob said since I've been so nice to them he'd only charge me 200 dollars more for something that was already agreed to. I had no choice at that point since they were in the middle of the process, and it took the workers about 4 minutes to finish. when the workers left, they didn't even bury the electric fence we have for our dog which was exposed for about 20 ft (I told this to Derek later to which he replied "Yeah we probably should have buried that." never offering to actually come over and fix it). I informed them of the fence before they started and they still cut it twice, and I had I not told them they did it they would have never noticed.
After all was said in done, my yard was still flooding. After several conversations it came to the conclusion by Derek that what they said they would do to fix the problem wasn't enough and said maybe I could put some mulch around the dry well to soak it up....... I had suggested to him that why not widening the dry well to give the water more area to go. He responded with "Yeah I can get you a quote on that." I responded that it seemed unfair to pair for work that was originally promised. Derek replied with "considering the circumstances I won't gouge you." I did not agree to that extra work. A while later I went to Breen's to discuss this with Rob. He said he would personally come check it out within a couple days, and I foolishly paid him. Guess what? They never came out. I called once asking when they would be coming out. No call back. I called again on Saturday (which they are open based on their hours online) and it went to voicemail. I state that if I didn't hear back from them I would be writing a review about their work. Unsurprisingly I never got a phone call back and this review is the result. I'm including photos of the yard that you can see water still coming through.
(UPDATE) Since I cannot respond directly to the owner's comment, I will here. 100% customer satisfaction???? Usually this includes the business actually coming to the home and evaluating the situation after they had PROMISED TO DO SO. Also, that 100% satisfaction level should also include returning phone calls after the customer called asking where the business was and why they hadn't followed through on coming to evaluate. Also, yes it was advised to not compromise the sea wall, but if I was told at the beginning that the second option wouldn't even actually work, I probably would have taken the risk, like many homes on the lake do by draining the water into the lake......

Don't bother with this place! I ordered a lot of mulch and asked for the $22/yd mulch. I charged it over the phone. They billed me $23/yd and also billed 3% for using a credit card without telling me. I was home and could have easily wrote a check. They told me the prices online are last years prices. What??? Called 3 times to speak to owner and of course he never returned my call. DON'T GO HERE!!!

Bad choice.
Clearly a hit or miss type company .
They lack the traits of a quality business as they fail to deliver and give a finished product for the price and quality promised. We had work done one yr ago that is still incomplete.
They show how good they work with stones as they stonewall our calls to repair and replace the failed parts of a 10 K job. Very poor outcome and plan to go the legal route to get resolved.

Company did a no call no show on a scheduled appointment. They called the day before to confirm. The excuse given was that the order got filed in the wrong day's basket! They never apologized and they didn't care how much this was an inconvenience to me!
