A delightful place with a great atmosphere. Ideal for a quick bite, coffee or lunch/dinner. Prices are at premium level and considerably high take away prices are lower. Location: In the heart of Jericho area in Oxford close to many local pubs/restaurants Staff: Smiley and always helpful. Food: A big range of of deli options, see photos attached all of them high quality but definitely pricey. We like the carrot cake and the spinach pie! There is an option for Italian food menu which is great. Their pizzas are highly recommended! Parking: There is an option for 2hours free parking along Cranham Street, alternative there are pay-option places across Walton Street, Great Clarendon Street and the Port Meadow South Parking. Vegetarian options: There are interesting vegetarian options! Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't say the most friendly place for kids but there is a lot of space for them, but no toys/arts and crafts for them. Also with people often working next to you in front of their laptops makes you feel uncomfortable if you have kids. Parking: Both free and pay options available across the surrounding streets see my review for details Wheelchair accessibility: Entrances are wheelchair accessible. Dietary restrictions: There are gluten free options. There are milk alternatives option for coffee
Have had some mixed reviews on this place so one star off. The price of food here even from deli is a little steep. As a student I have came back to get some bits occasionally but cannot come back often due to the price. The chocolate section is great and it does have items that I have not seen before with good looking vegetables as well. The pastagnocchi was actually not very nice with super richness to it and was not able to eat it. I have not been to the restaurant before so would like to try it in near future. Having some student discounts or point systems could be great.
What a delightful place this is with a huge range of deli foods +. Loads of seating inside and out to sit with your coffee and food. This place is very deceptive as it looks tiny from outside. When you enter it is vast. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. I will definately be coming again on my next visit to Oxford. Thank you for a very pleasant experience guys.
We had our work Christmas meal there. It’s absolutely lovely, their Christmas menu was great for veggies, vegans and equally for the meat eaters. They got a great wine selection too. I really enjoyed the sea bass risotto butternut squash soup.
Been coming to branca for 20years or more and I have never had a bad experience. The staff are aways lovely and the food and atmosphere is great. I love the fact that my favourite dishes like the prawn linguini, chicken caesar salad have not been taken off the menu as the have reduced the menu. There are a few other favourite they no long have but I hope they will come back. Would definitely recommend for Special occasions like birthday ect. The deli is also great the food is just as good as the restaurant.
A great atmosphere, relaxing with a lot of natural light. The coffee was quite enjoyable and the food options at the deli, especially anything made on the spot, are great. The pricing is the only real issue here as you certainly are paying a premium for the atmosphere. Otherwise, nothing bad to say.
I cannot recommended Branca enough. My husband and I chose Branca to host our wedding reception and their hosting was nothing but perfect. Fiona, especially, relieved us of SO much stress. She was always very responsive and always did whatever she could to accommodate our wishes and requests. The food was exceptional. All our guests were raving about how good the food was for a long time after. One the many things we loved about the hosting at Branca was the freedom they gave us. They gave us a huge menu to chose from, which, in turn allowed for all our guest’s dietary needs to be met, along with everyone genuinely enjoying their food! They also allowed us to bring in our own cake and did everything they could to assist with assembling it. I’m sure SOO much more went on behind the scenes but the above is a just a few things they did which we really appreciated and contributed to making our day so special. If we were to do it all over again we would chose Branca again. We loved the entire day and it would not have been as prefect as it was without them! Thank you hugely to Fiona and the team!
I absolutely love the pizza very lively and lovely atmosphere a little bit noisy beware in case if you don't like it.Food: 4/5
Great food marred by rude service. We got some lovely food from the deli for my birthday and sat outside in the seating, and were told to sit at the side closest the restaurant. Tall waiter, gingery beard and balding comes out, shouts at us, tries to get us to move, as we’re in places “reserved for” the empty restaurants, no tables next to us are being used. Disappointing. Otherwise good service but not the first time this particular man has disappointed.
Lovely restaurant atmosphere buzz and great food. Perfect for a nice occasion
