Lost a star because of terribly long wait times. They should let you know when you book the appt - if you're appointment is at 1, you probably won't be getting in to see the doctor until about 2:30/3:00. The appointment is still as long as they say - a few hours, but this would help with fasting... If you know you have a fast metabolism then you can eat shortly before you come for example so you don't starve. Aside from that everything else was great. The nurses were so kind and the doctor (male) was great. They talked the whole way through it, and held my hand, which made it go by super quick - even though the procedure took only about 5 minutes. Bravo for doing this day in, day out with a positive attitude and smile on your face that projects onto others.

I have not lived at home for nearly 4 months, and have finally managed to avoid the harassment I was receiving from my mother after I left. I made an appointment here, and the same day it was made I received another harassing call from my mother, who I had changed my number twice in order to avoid. Whichever incompetent receptionist was at the desk gave her my new number, my new address, the date and time of my appointment, and even what I’m supposed to bring to the appointment. I am over 18, so there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for my private information to have been given away. This is the most stressed I have ever felt in my life. I have not been able to sleep for fear of my mother showing up to my new address, and I have to once again change my phone number. I demand something be done about this receptionist, this so unacceptable.

I did not even end up going through with an abortion at this clinic because the receptionist was so non supportive and really made me feel as though I was alone. The nurses there are probably great, however in a situation like this they should work as a team to make us, the clients feel at ease with the hard time we are going through. I called and asked a few questions as this was my first pregnancy and I was completely lost upon what to do, and she said "I don't have time to explain this to you", I then was going back and forward with emails and it was as though the person responding was responding just to respond rather than to help me understand. I then decided that this was not the place for me as if I had to encounter this in person, I would be more emotional than I already am.

Not only is one of the receptionists have a superiority complex, obviously fueled by the fact that she's never had to be a patient of a clinic like this, but the coldness from the environment is absolutely dreadful. If you have anxiety issues (ones you're medicated for) you should also steer clear because the staff seem either insensitive or untrained with regards to this, which is shocking in my opinion. Case and point: my appointment was refused, and I was distraught. Almost immediately started going into panic attack. The receptionist told me that I should drop my attitude because it was unnecessary, while there were years clearly in my eyes, my face visibly red and my body shaking. My "attitude" is not a problem, my anxiety is, and you would think someone working in an abortion clinic would know the difference.

If you're looking at the reviews you're making a tough decision and are feeling very emotional. You're wondering if this is the right place. I am telling you personally that there is no better place to go. The nurses, doctors and the counsellor made me feel so welcomed, and brave. The reviews about the receptionist are wrong, she spoke to me so softly and was kind. I was a mess - nervous, crying, jostling around and making things difficult, but the nurses held my hands, wiped tears off my face. There was a nurse with blonde curly hair and blue eyes, I forgot her name, started with an M I think. I owe her all my bravery. Before proceeding with the procedure she talked to me without judgement, gave me the hope I needed to keep going and the recovery nurse never left my side. During the procedure I definitely made things difficult by not staying still but they didn't lose their patience and continued talking to me. It was over in less than 5 minutes. There was lots of discomfort, like a very strong cramp and pulling, but then youre done. It wasn't easy by any means, but with the help and kindness of the nurses and doctor it made the experience better. They even hugged me. So if you're looking for an arrow sign, go here. And know you're not alone. Thank you Brampton Woman's Clinic.
