The website "ships" using doordash. This was an unwelcome surprise. I placed an order, the website states they use Canada Post or Purolator. Instead, I was getting an unexpected phone call from a random Doordash driver while I was at work. The issue is, you need to be home. When Canada Post delivers, they leave a slip etc and you go pick it up. A door dash driver has no way to offer this service of course. So you have to worry all day, that your expensive package won't be stolen while it is sitting on your doorstop.
I had two orders with Bouclair. The first was a bench that arrived very damaged as the contents were not protected for shipping... The second was a set of chairs that arrived intact and I was pleased with the quality of the product and the shipping protection. They rectified the situation for the bench, so I am slightly upset at being inconvenienced the first time, but happy with the outcome overall and their customer service.
I believe that's it's hard to operate business in Canada. And always support Canadian business. However. This is getting to a "ridiculous" level. Which I need to express. Placed an order in August 5th. Nothing happened for about 3 weeks. No email. No reply. No update. Had to call and chase for an update. They said "you shall get an email soon" However. A month later. Random delivery came without any notice. I wasn't home. So. I had to went to the deliver center to pick up myself. Then. It's missing an item. So, called. They said will be "another delivery" which was random again. All items looked either opened, returned. Or damaged. Then missing parts. The lamp only came with the base. No lamp... After a month and half. I didn't both to deal with this. But seriously surprised on the quality of product and the customer services.
I have had not once, not twice but three times the BEST customer service EVER. I messaged on FB, had a reply instantly and each time the C/S associate was ALWAYS courteous, informative and looked into the matter and kept me in the loop until it was resolved...which was always resolved.
I don't even live in Canada I don't have any reason to buy it offers furniture but my card was charged my credit card was charged by this company. I'd like to know why!?
I had a very poor experience ordering online from the corporate office. I was order a chair for a friend as a gift and I had to fix something on my order so I called in and they indicated they would have to cancel my order and place a new order which I found weird considering but I obliged as long as I wouldn't get billed twice. A few days pass and I noticed that I now have two payments on my credit card Double Billed so I called in and the customer service rep indicated that it was normal and that my order was confirmed to be cancelled so I shouldn't have to worry... They said they don't provide email confirmation on cancellations apparently. Now a week later I am told that not only did my payment not get cancelled which I was assured it was... They double shipped two chairs and asked me to have my friend go and drop one off at a purolator shipping depot before they refund me. I told them that's not acceptable considering I confirmed twice of the cancellation and refund. The customer service rep told me there is nothing else they can do... I would think twice about buying anything online from them and god forbid you need something changed... I am an extremely upset customer.
What a terrible experience dealing with this company for an error that was made on their end. Save yourself the headaches and listen to the reviews as I should've. They made the mistake and refused to refund me my complete order. Proper customer service leaves the customer feeling that they would want to give the retailer their future business. Bouclair's website promises "we work hard every day to provide you with the best shopping experience". I will never shop at Bouclair again.
Damaged curtains and incompetent staff who just hang up on their customers after waiting half hour for a resolution is not acceptable.
I wasn't going to write any review but since my email to the company is going unanswered since January 12, 2016 here it is... After having spent a lot of time finding a store that had the floor lamp I was looking for I finally found it in your Kirkland store. It said online that it was in stock at Marche Centrale and Ste. Dorothee, but after venturing out to each of these places, found out that your website hasn't been updated since December 27th. So anyway, brought the lamp home, assembled it, and honestly it's quite pretty of a lamp. I really wanted it. But here's the problem, the craftsmanship involved in building this lamp is so poor it's unbelievable. It's not a lamp that cost 40-50$ at IKEA it was 120$ plus tax which came to 137$. And quite honestly those lamps from IKEA are constructed so much better then this one. The lamp shades are crooked, some of the screws that hold the shades don't even have the right threading to screw them in properly. And it's not that I assembled it wrong. My 9 year old boy could have put it together. I probably will keep the lamp because I really like it but just want to say how badly ripped off I feel given the quality of this piece of crap. And the truth is I wouldn't care spending twice the money at your store for something of nice quality and something I feel that I can look at in my living room that projects some value. I won't be setting foot in a bouclair again. Just thought I'd let you know. I purchased the Glass Shade Floor Lamp with Decorative Dropelets.
I have been trying to reach customer service for the third time now ... Wait time is very bad.. over an hour!!
