Food was delicious. We got the Mad Platter and everything was great. The ribs were really tender, and the steak was my personal favourite. The waffle fries were also very crispy and well seasoned. Great service and the owner was so nice, took great care of us. I would definitely come back!
What sets this place apart is Consistency. While value for money is Subjective in my opinion is 7/10. They do BBQ well and understand that Quality of Meat is Important. Portioned are decently sized. Flavour is Excellent. Presentation I can’t speak for as I’ve only taken out. Overall a Great Place to get some comfort BBQ. Plus Point. The Staff is Very Kind and Helpful.
Wow after a 12 hour day at work there nothing better I could have asked for. This place has been on my want to go list for like a year and a half and when I managed to seize the opportunity to go I wasn’t disappointed. Food was spectacular, beef rib was falling of the bone and the sauce was amazing. The waffle fries were seasoned and fried to perfection and the smoke Mac and cheese was the icing on the cake. And just to make the experience that much better the customer service was top notch. 9.75 out of 10 only because it was slightly more then what I would want to spend but I would say you could get away with sharing their main courses if your not dying of hunger. Thank you Mad Ox for the experience :
Beef brisket is how I decide to base my thoughts of a BBQ restaurant. Had 1/2 lb lean and 1/2 medium fatty. Unfortunately, both parts were dry. My experience with brisket is grease soaked everything, not Mad Ox. Loved the waffle fries and beans. The potato salad and coleslaw really needed salt. Staff interaction was fine, inside of the restaurant looked really fancy and is reflected in the price you pay.
Amazing experience! I took my family for my birthday and did not regret it all. Kids loved the chicken burgers and the slow cooked briskets and chicken quarters were fresh, hot and full of flavour. The manager/owner was going to every table to inquire the customer's opinion which is very commendable. five stars !
Very well decorated interior, spacious dining area with friendly and caring staff. Food quality was impressive, ordered smoked sandwich, Nashville chicken, brisket and cheese cake all tasted very good. Meat quality was extraordinary to satisfy all taste buds but prices are on high end
Hands down this is one of the best places to go to. We were a party of 13 people and they were able to accommodate us all. The design of the restaurant is very nicely done. But most importantly the food was amazing. We got almost everything on the menu. The steak was so juicy and tender but most of all the bbq ribs were to die for!! It was so good we weren't able to take a pic before it was devoured. It was fall off the bone tender. Definitely coming back here!!
Very good platter and delicious. You get a lot for the price. The meats definitely have quality and I love that there's quite an option for the sauces. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth, the ribs were a little hard to eat given their size, the Brazilian tri-tip was good, the cornbread and waffle fries were great. The place looks great but the service could've been better.
Tried this place after passing by it for awhile. Originally thought it was a take out spot, but was pleasantly surprised to see it is full on dining. Very clean and well decorated. Wasnt busy when we visited so service was good. We got the platter for 2-3 ppl and chose all the beef options 3 choices. Also purchased a side of coleslaw. Meat was really good, unique flavors for all 3 that we chose and fall off the bone. We got the Wild Berry sauce and Alabama White sauce for our sauce choices. Also really good. Even the pickled accompaniments were all very tasty in that they werent too sweet nor vinegary. Only downside was the price and the restaurant not having any pork options which is a bit unique strange given it's a BBQ place. For two ppl our total meal came to ~$125 after tip and taxes.
Had a craving for halal beef ribs, and Mad Ox definitely hit the spot. The food came out surprisingly quick, and the ribs were absolutely delicious, and the best I have had. I did find the coleslaw to be way too watery, and the seating area can get a little cramped. We did come in on a cold night, and unfortunately every time the door opened, a strong wave of cold air would fill the place up. The cord bread also left a lot to be desired, and not worth the price for me personally. However, I will keep this at 5 stars because the ribs were that good, and i plan on coming back for more!
