I just love this place! Fun to walk around and find treasures! I especially love the crystal shop inside. She has such beautiful and interesting specimens and the prices are mostly pretty reasonable. Highly recommend! Pics are just a few of the crystals I have bought from the crystal lady.
I adore this space. More room and spread out, not like the other antique mall where you can't move for fear of bumping into everything.
Amazing hard to find Funko Pops, toys and games at reasonable prices. Much cheaper than what I have seen for such rare pop culture collectibles.
My kids and I always used to enjoy this place. And have spent lots of time and money browsing and collecting various items from the store. The shop owner will follow you around and accuse you of stealing. Anything you have in your hand she will take to the front. Doesn't seem like they have too much business but they certainly won't get mine anymore.
Lots of things to explore! Be certain that you give yourself plenty of time to really see everything!
Love everything except for the scalper who has his gross set up inside. If you're wondering where all the funko pops in town go it's this vendor who has 7 to 8 duplicates of any given funko pop all scalper priced. He scalps my little pony as well and it looks like a few other nerd hobbies and interests. If you care about collecting at all then you shouldn't give this jerk any business.
I'm giving the Marketplace five stars because of the vendors Marie, Rosie, and Tom who are all very polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and honest. BUT beware of Peter or Pierre as he prefers to be addressed, he is none of the above and not very professional, either. I left an antique clock with him for a while so he could research it on the internet while I did some business with another vendor. Without my permission, Peter attempted to wind the clock when it had already been wound and he forced the key so hard that he popped the spring! No apologies, no accountability on his part. I have no doubt if a client had inappropriately mishandled a piece of his merchandise he would have insisted they cover the damage or pay full price for it. By the way, it cost me $75 to have the 100+ year old Seth Thomas Ship Bells Clock repaired! I'm just grateful it could be repaired after Peter's inappropriate manhandling! If my rating was only reflective of the owner, Peter or Pierre if you choose it would be "big fat ZERO." Peter, you are a classic cad! P.S. The original estimate to repair the clock that Peter damaged was $75. I just got a call from the repair shop Arden's - the best clock man in the region and the actual repairs ran $150!!! Both the clock key and the bells key had been forced to the point of popping! Larry Arden told me he also found a fresh scratch on the face of the clock where Peter had obviously been trying to jimmy with the slow/fast armature. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, but the scratch cannot be repaired! As I said, BEWARE OF PIERRE! Sadly, Peter/Pierre has told me that I cannot come into his store anymore, even to do business with other vendors . I guess he did not approve of the 5-star review I gave his business.
Theres no clear direction of where you are supposed to buy an item, do not touch signs everywhere, Easter sale sign is up in June, everything is packed tightly together, and a large selection of items are bought from thrift stores and marked up. Theres 30 vendors and some of them have nice handmade items and there are some unique things that are hard to find just a very unwelcoming atmosphere
I was at the computer store inside and the man running this department was very helping with my budget and the type of gaming PC that I was looking for. he was very patienton my thinking process I was looking at computer for 2+hours and was extremely helpful because i was new to PC's. saying all that i would give his department a 11/10 because he went above and beyond for me!!
Here we ago again… : well I really enjoy this place and have spent a fair bit of money but I likely won’t return. I purchased two rings larimar and ocean jasper from the front kiosk. Both rings stone fell out. I came in and asked politely if they could be fixed and the seller agreed. The following day I came to pick them up and asked for $15. I didn’t complain and handed over my credit card. Then he told me that I didn’t purchase the rings there? I most certainly did, and honestly kind of want to find my bank statements to prove it because I found it beyond rude he insinuated I lied. I try to shop local to support small business owners but sometimes they make it so difficult for me to want to return when I am treated like that. I spent over 45 minutes finding the perfect ring, brought my mom and boyfriend in at a later date who also made purchases. They collectively amounted to $200+ and then I’m told I’m lying about purchasing them there? Why? I should’ve spoken up but honestly in todays world it’s too exhausting to argue with people.
