Bogey's Inn & Suites

For weddings, I have spoke with many guests. I keep my boat in the marina. Every one always walks along the docks sooner or later. In 20 years of boating, absolutely the best place to keep your boat. Weddings are stressful, the few complaints ive heard are mostly due to stress for wanting a smooth, perfect wedding day. I have sat on my boat and watched employees vacuum the parking lot, and walk the grounds and pick up every stick and leaf. The rooms are spotless and beautiful. In all, this place is the best you can find for all it offers, and there is nothing else like it around.

I just had a wedding at Bogeys and the day was really beautiful. I give it that, but I'm going to have my review done in two parts. The good and the bad. First the good. It is one hell of a beautiful place to be, right on the water and a park right beside it. Having the St. Clare Parkway right there to get to and from Sarnia makes it very easy to get to. The rooms themselves were very nice and well kept. Okay... the Second part. Where to start? Well it mainly has to do the customer service. Coming from far away (eastern Ontario) it was difficult to communicate with the manager there. There were times that it seemed that she was focused to get things right which I appreciate, but other days when we called her it seemed like an inconvenience to her. When we were getting close to the wedding date, (the Thurs. and Fri. before, wedding was on Sat.) and we're trying to set up at the venue that's when it really went south. Starting with the meeting to wrap things up. One of our guest did send there information to book the room (officially) but because there were two people taking care of the paper work there was a miscommunication and that information fell through the cracks, and I had to pay for it. Then the day before the wedding I get a phone call from the manager complaining about the guests that were helping set up. Yes they might have been in places that they weren't suppose to go, but there was no one to give direction, no signs, nothing. There was a point that someone asked a few questions she kinda got told off. If they weren't told anything how could they know what to do and not to do in the venue. She had me on the phone for a good ten minutes, and when I got off I was in a state that I couldn't talk to anyone for a good while. Someone had to calm me down. Being a bride you don't want to hear that the DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. The day of, they said they would tidy the room that we were getting ready in. I would think they meant take out the garbage from getting ready, and she even said do the floors. She didn't do anything. Not going to talk about the day after. I'll just say they were trying to push us out the door. If your looking for a very beautiful place I do recommend Bogeys, but don't except good customer service, or anyone to help with what you need at that moment or the office to be open passed 1 pm.

Very clean / modern rooms. Friendly staff. Rooms are not overly large, so max 4 stars from me.

Nice place at the river front antique cars inside the building show case beautiful but if u have a boat is a place to be.

Stayed here for our wedding. Staff were very helpful and organized rooms for our guests. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect!!
