Who likes Thai food?
The name of the new Thai restaurant, Bob Likes Thai Food, (3755 Main Street) is owner Tai Keattivanichvily’s play on “everyone likes Thai food.” The menu includes pad Thai, red-curried fish cakes, pad si-ew (fried rice noodles, pork, seasonal veggies), and swimming rama (greens, peanut sauce, tofu, garlic) (all $7.50 to $10). Keattivanichvily, a former filmmaker and animator, is originally from Thailand, and his recipes come from his mother and her friend.

Thai cuisine here is extremely tasty! We tried the dragon noodles and the poutine which consisted of taro chips topped with green curry sauce and small fried tofu pieces. The dishes were truly authentic and had amazing flavors. This is definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in Vancouver, without a doubt. All the dishes were well-seasoned and bursting with flavor. I plan on returning to sample other items on the menu!

Opted to order the "Something" which was a great decision. Giving the chef's the opportunity to cook what they want is a win win for everyone involved. This time, it was a Peking duck style pork belly - which was fantastic. My friends opted for a noodle dish and the massaman curry. Both were flavorful and filling. While all the food was great - the service was the real standout. Everyone was friendly and charming. The banter from one specific server elevated the experience entirely. Altogether, can't recommend it enough.

Super delicious Thai food! We got the green curry chicken and their poutine which is taro chips smothered in green curry sauce and little chunks of fried tofu. Everything was seasoned well and full of flavor. Thai milk tea was rich and not watered down as well. Service was attentive. Will come back to try other dishes!

A great go to for Thai food. Very authentic! This time we ordered pad Thai, papaya salad, fish and chips, Tom ka ga, and the poutine. All amazing. Good service in a casual relaxed setting. Also if you have a peanut allergy, they are really great about accommodating it.  Dietary restrictions: Accommodated peanut allergy by removing it from the dish

Drunken noodles with prawns super fresh with prawns and veg cooked just right, still crisp. Massaman chicken curry good. Friendly service with food arriving fast.Food: 4/5

I was disappointed to the taste. Maybe because I had high expectation from others. Well.. Beef Panang Curry was hot and creamy, but too salty. The chicken Satay was dry. The atmosphere was quite dark and the service was a bit harsh and cold.

Bob likes thai food is definitely a hidden gem! I ordered the lunch special green curry for $15 and it was delicious! At first, i thought the green curry portion was quite small, but the bowl is actually quite deep and held a lot of the green curry sauce. The bowl also had generous portions of tender chicken and eggplant. The eggplant was scrumptious as they grilled it prior to putting it in the green curry sauce. The staff here are also really nice, which gives this place a nice homey vibe. Would definitely be back!

I like only spring rolls and deep fried banana. Other dishes are just so so. It’s not very authentic but it’s okay. Staffs are so friendly and helpful.

EDIT: revised to reflect the shrinking portion sizes. You can't raise prices and decrease portion sizes...  Authentic Thai food at an affordable price. Portions look small. Incredibly tasty and fresh - I went here with my Thai partner and she thought it tasted just like Thailand. Would definitely recommend and come back for more!

The Thai restaurant is really authentic.  Delicious: recommended shrimp salad, fried tofu must be ordered  Service: The service staff is very attentive, will not give you pressure, make people enjoy and comfortable  Environment: clean and comfortable!  Easy parking
