Boathouse Grill

Maybe we went there early at 6:15pm and the restaurant was only half full, the service wasn't slow as other reviewers said. We finished our dinner with soup and main course in 45 minutes. The soup was average but the trout and short rib that we had were good. Waitresses are friendly too. View of the restaurant is great looking at the lake. Unfortunately it was cloudy on the horizon otherwise it would be a perfect view of sunset.

Staying at Taboo, the resort where Boathouse Grill is located. Great resort, shite restaurant. What a joke that they charge what they do for the food. Squid was way undercooked. Medium rare steaks were grey. Service was atrocious; waitress was 19 years old and had clearly never even tried the food. She was perfectly incompetent with any questions and her service capacity was negligible. Took FOREVER for the food to come out. Never took the menus away. Never cleared the plates of eaten dishes. Didn't bring appropriate cutlery. Didn't ask us if we wanted more drinks when our glasses were empty. Didn't ask for our dessert interests. When eating $30 entrés, this amateur level of service is totally unacceptable, even when a captive audience at a resort staffed by teenagers. What an embarrassment. Great view though and the rest of the resort is quite nice.

Stayed at Taboo resort and this is the only restaurant available. Service is super slow and the wait staff simply ignores you. You would think they would welcome new tables for additional tips? We ordered the flatbread, it was a mess. Looked so gross I didn't even try it. Nothing like you think a flatbread would look like. The burgers and Nachos looked good. Views are beautiful and the beer is cold. They could do a lot with this place. Not recommended until some major changes are done. FYI - I'm writing this review while waiting for my bill.

Utterly mediocre food. Service is terrible. And extremely expensive.

Undercooked food, with a side of indifferent service. Even had the gall to refuse to take the food off the bill despite its inedibility. Taboo guests take heed.
