The Oar & Paddle Restaurant

What a great find for a family of 6 travelling to the area from the U.K. Food excellent (loved the coloured nachos and garlic bread!) and main meals huge. Great choice of beers that I could enjoy as driving but got a Prohibition Bud instead. All the staff that dealt with us were lovely. They made us feel really welcome. Would definitely head back there if we were in the area.

Really great restaurant in Gravenhurst. Had driven past many times but never been in. We stopped by during the winter festival for some all-you-can-eat poutine which was absolutely gluttonously wonderful. The decor and staff were amazing and they're currently going through a big renovation and expansion. We're definitely looking forward to coming back to try the full menu.

This is a mixed review that is intended to be constructive and helpful to Management... First, I have enjoyed your food twice in the last week. The quality and flavours are excellent. The service has been good on both occasions. My point is that on both occasions I have seen dozens of potential customers turned away. Tonight there were six tables reserved with no one at them throughout the hour we were there. We were sitting at a table for four that should have been split (pulled apart) for two's. There was a couple at a table for six and another at a table for four. Meantime the young lady at the door is on auto pilot turning people away without thinking. I have worked with restaurants directly and indirectly for over 25 years and I have seldom seem anything like this. You have a good restaurant. Now you just need to learn how to manage it so that more people can enjoy it.

The food tastes amazing. Its very clean. Servers were great. But I thought the prices were just a bit steep. If I could rate it @ 4.5 stars I would
