Great for kids! Playgrounds for toddlers and older kids, water spray park, wading pool with life guards on duty, kids bike path with mini road signs for practice see my photos. Clean washroom, good amount of free parking around the park. Ice cream stand during summer. Lots of trees so plenty of shades. Only improvement I can suggest is to add more picnic tables
Really fun park for little kids. There are some cool ropes to walk and climb on. A lot of space for outdoor activities and some nice sheds for family picnics.
the tot playground is currently under maintenance, but the parkour playground is awesome! the spray park is okay. the wading pool looked clean but definitely for toddlers. There is a huge field so its great for Frisbee, catch, and non-competitve soccerPlayground: YesPublic restrooms: YesOff-leash dog area: NoPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: No
Very good park for families and recreation. I was there one weekend for a business picnic and there was a lot happening. Has a lot of recreation for children, baseball diamonds and stone sculptures. A great place to get away to.
Very wonderful place, just for a walk. Nature is inside the city
Great place for walking and plus I did not realize until recent that this park is sort of like a memorial park. It is great place when you just want quiet walking place. Also, some people might find funny and laughable but their park board once sold hotdog during the summer months alongside the kid's swimming pool area, that hot dog was one of the best big wiener hot dog that I have had in awhile.
How many trees should a park have? This park wins! Lots of shade and picnic tables. Street parking. When those humid days hit, it might be crowded. Adjacent spray park and playground for the kids plus Coquitlam's last wading pool. Been coming here since the 60s. Thanks City of Coquitlam!
Large park for location. Can be accessed from multiple sides. Ample parking on all sides. King Albert is the busiest for parking. Tennis courts and baseball diamond for sports enthusiasts. Playground for kids along with wading pool and spray in warmer weather. Playground: Recently updated fun for kids. Restrooms: Near spray park and baseball field. Would be nice if more were near picnic area Dog-friendliness: Great for a walk. No designated off leash area. Picnic area: Nice shelters and tables throughout park.
A fantastic park not far from the city, with lots activities can do for both kids and adults. Picnic under the shades, water spray park, climbing gym, walking trails, scooter/bike track and these two lovely life-sized horses to ride on or take pictures with. My kids had blast, could stay all day.
I've been coming here ever since I was a kid, and have many incredibly fond memories attached. From the children's bike "road", to the large pretend horses, to the playground equipment, to the trees. It's an incredibly large park with a lot of diversity to show, and my favourite of all, many stone sculptures all brought upon by a project from 1986! Most of them are still in lovely condition, minus time based weardown from rain / otherwise. You can get a beautiful view of the horizon, and there is a children's pool for the summertime. I see no reason to dislike Blue Mountain Park, and I think you'll feel the same! I realize that the pictures I posted don't include the playground. Come explore, it's a more than child friendly environment!
