I’ve been training with Matt and Blast Fit for over 3 months now and have really enjoyed the sessions. Each session is different, challenging and surprisingly enjoyable! I’ve seen some great results month on month, both physically with a noticeable increase in my strength and cardio ability and mentally. I have had PT sessions before, but really enjoy the exercises Matt gets us to do, especially the boxing, and having Matt as a trainer. I would definitely recommend Blast Fit. The classes are also great!
I joined Blast in January, to help me prepare for the London Marathon. I am no athlete by any stretch of the imagination, but i'm seeing real gains already. I love being part of the group too, and you get to meet lovely people, and make genuine friends who all motivate each other. I'd highly recommend Blast to anyone - Matt is excellent and makes a tailor made programme for you and every session is different.
Done a few sessions so far and I am pleased with the training and progress. The class atmosphere is very welcoming and open to all levels. It’s all about training to become stronger, fitter, better; not just slimmer or more muscly.And Matt is excellent trainer.
Whenever I see an ad for a QUICK solution to fitness and/or weight loss, I wish I could reach out to all the people who are tempted to try, and say: Fitness is not something you can do once or twice, or for a couple of weeks, get results and walk away. We have only one body in life, and it ages with time I know, newsflash ! , so we need to maintain it to keep it for longer. Maintenance includes healthy food, hydration and fitness. Fitness is an ongoing process, whether you like it or not, and you will only get results if you make it part of your routine. So why this long introduction to a review? I needed to share my view on fitness before writing about how Blast Fit helped me and my body 2 different entities that do not always agree back on the Fitness path. To get there I needed to find a balance of motivation, reaching goals, pain, and let's be honest, affordability. I had tried PT before and if we leave aside the cost I can no longer afford it, the PT sessions Blast Fit offers are hybrid sessions of a maximum of 4 people. You get personal attention and feedback from the trainer, as well as motivation from the other people in the group, even though they are doing different exercises. Occasionally there is nobody else, so it is a truly personal training session. I find that while everyone is on a different fitness journey, we are together for one hour and it creates a friendly atmosphere which is very motivating. You decide on your overall goal, and the trainer helps break this down into achievable goals in my case: do one proper press-up and tone up. About pain: well, you know the saying about gain, however these sessions are not about brutalising you. You get only about 5 minutes of cardio exercise bike/skip/row, same for core sit-ups etc, reaction, strength and balance, all with short rests in between. Again, all tailored to your personal goals. If you are a mother or a father who attended birth, think about your labour length and pain, and imagine working-out pain to be about 5% for one hour. Does it sound so bad? I train first thing in the morning and I feel super energised for the rest of the day. Finally, affordability: as mentioned above, this is a very small class, so it keeps the PT element, at a fraction of the cost. The more sessions per week you buy, the cheaper they get. Oh, and I have yet to find a gym poser at Blast Fit, no room for those there...
Fun, fun, fun! Great, friendly, creative and talented 'body experts'. Lawrenzo is awesome and Matt is pure genius!!! Joining up is the best decision I've made in ages. A must try for improved health, fitness, strength, weight loss and happiness! All to cool funky music. Much better than gyms, zumba, pilates and all that other rudimentary stuff. Kx
Very nice compact, clean and well facilitated gym. Catering for all levels. Great workout without being taxing or repressive. In other words, hard but fun and enjoyable
Matt is an excellent coach. He taught me how to box, from nothing, and I know that at Blast Fit Acton he'll help all sorts of people meet their fitness goals. I had my first BLAST today and it was wicked. First real fitness post CV19 lockdown and he managed to tailor it to be difficult whilst remaining achievable. Such a good setup. Give it a go.
Great set up, especially with the current circumstances. Matt always keeps you on your toes with new exercise circuits each week. Would definitely recommend if you are a beginner or if you don't like working out alone. Friendly atmosphere and I love coming here.
Great setup and love the variety of equipment available, especially the reaction light training. Feels like one on one training and Matt pushes you to the limits, which is great to see I can get the full intensity in my workout every time. Also, Glad to see the appropriate measure for Covid-19.
I tots recommend Blastfit. Matt really makes you work which is ideal for me as I need that push. I thoroughly enjoy the Hiit classes which really get your heart rate up and your sweat glands working overtime , though I just glow, darling !. The variety of different types of exercises keep the classes interesting and the session is over before you know it.
