Since it first opened in May of 1999, The Black Thorn Café has been a favourite of both locals and tourists alike. Located at 15 Clarence St near Sussex Drive, The Black Thorn Café's rear patio backs onto the historic Tin House Courtyard. It is housed in a National Capital Commission building that looks just as it did over 130 years ago (we have the pictures to prove it in the main bar!). The restaurant has seating for over 200 people in the Summer and consists of four main sections; front patio, main bar area, dining room and courtyard patio. With a healthy, locally sourced menu, renowned gourmet pizza and extensive draught and wine selection, The Black Thorn is the perfect spot for an after work drink, dinner with friends or celebrating your special day.
