Definitely coming here again! Very friendly crew. Order came in a timely manner, hot and fresh. Appetizer was amazing, definitely suggest the pretzel stix with the jalapeno cream cheese. My wrap had a delightful taste and THE CRISPY CHICKEN DID NOT TASTE LIKE FISH, like at other places. I appreciate that very much.

Came to South Haven for a weekend and tried a few different restaurants in the area and this one was by far the best. The wait was about 30 mins which is not bad considering other places will have you waiting over an hour. The food is good. Just a no frills burger joint with a lot of local craft beer options. Pretty cool!

I can say for certain, I will never again visit Black River Tavern while vacationing in South Haven. On our last trip we decided to stop in for a "quick bite", which became far less than quick. From the time we sat down, to the time we received our food, it took a hour and fifteen minutes. There were only 3 of us... If they would have been busy, perhaps I would have let it slide, especially if the food was any good. But there being no rush of customers, and the food being ok at an absolute best. Coupled with lackluster service & not so much as an apology for the long wait. Truly make this someplace to avoid.

Excellent service and the manager and waitress really took care of us! Quality customer service here! Food was Excellent! We had to wait a little longer than expected due to the comedy show going on downstairs so they gave us a discount on our bill! Nice place to grab a drink and some yummy food!

Good food, beer. Usually not super busy so you can get a table. Good location.
