Food was good. Specialty candy cane latte was tasty it’s close to Christmas. Service a bit slow and space was a bit tight, but overall a nice place. Good vibe and decent prices.

Hired Black Honey to do our wedding cake in August 2022. 1. Our scheduled appointment to discuss the details of what we want - Lisa showed up 40 mins late. 2. Went weeks between communication, every time I emailed with questions I always had to resend it weeks later to get a reply. 3. Finally got the contract outlined with what we discussed and the pricing - all looked good. 4. On our wedding day the cake was a disaster. In the contract we wanted stencil work as the line work was very intricate and Lisa also agreed it was the way to go. On our wedding day we found that the line work was piped by hand and looked terrible - wobbly lines. I was so disappointed and felt embarrassed that this is what we ended up with. 5. Reached out to Lisa a few days after the wedding to discuss via email - reply contained an apology and wanted to reimburse us. I responded with thank you, very much appreciated. Then a week or so went by and heard nothing, I reached out again, then ghosted. Communication ended there. I have attached a picture of what we asked for and what we received.

This is most confusing cafe I have been to. The cafe has a street front but there are signs to enter in the allyway. There is patio in the front and back and then there is another building with bakery sign. However that did not take away from the experience. The coffee was alright, but the brownie cheesecake was really good. Had it not been for a giant wasp nest, we wud hv hung out more.

Black Honey and Lisa's team did the catering and the cake for our wedding. We gave them a monumental task of catering our wedding on an island with no kitchen access. And they performed flawlessly. The staff were cheerful, the food was delicious, and everything was so beautifully presented. Also the cake is some of the best cake we've had in our lives. Thank you so much!!

Ordered online for a red velvet cake with icing. The price was very fair. The customer service was good as I received a call to reconfirm all the details and pickup time. Online ordering was easy to use. The red velvet cake itself wasn’t too sweet, the icing was great too. I’d recommend/order again! - thank you!

Cute bakery. Friendly staff. Eclectic decor. Clean. Quality ingredients. Comfortable seating. Could use some background music.

The cafe was cute and they had well priced options for takeout. The latte was okay but the two stars are more for the customer service we received on Thanksgiving. Four of our group of six had completed our purchases, when the employee "just saying" mentions that if we're pleased with the service, it's customary to tip? He hadn't made conversation with us, we weren't dining in, but he blatantly asks for a tip... making the interaction just awkward. Wouldn't go back.

We didn't really enjoy any of the five things we bought. Flavourless, or weird texture, or both. The inside is rather messy and cluttered, with random stuff stacked on the shelves. They also didn't have great labelling. We ended up getting a brownie that was gluten free. It's great that you offer those options, but gluten free baking has a distinct unpleasant texture, and I wouldn't have made that choice of it had been mentioned before rather than after. Would not recommend.

Went to have an after dinner dessert. Felt very unwelcoming. Everything covered in plastic. I chose the carrot cake. It was dry,icing was delicious. Disappointing. My spouse had chocolate cake which was delicious.

Meh . Pricey with mediocre offerings. Maybe the custom cakes are better. Furnishings feel dirty and worn. Good location. Don't get the impression they have a community spirit towards more than their own clique. Ok for a coffee to go but parking is a real pain.
