What a fabulous establishment. Owners are hands on and couldn’t have better patron experience as top of mind. The quality of everything they have is top end. From the beer in the package shop, the beer on tap, the spirits available and food prep at excellent. Do NOT miss this neighborhood gem!
Great beers and drinks. They do offer food, through the nextdoor “ghost kitchen?” …. Service was casual yet knowledgeable . I do like they offer 5oz so you can try multiples… they do not have straws. Also connected to their LARGE beer / liquor store with small coffee counter with treats
Really enjoyed our time at Bitter Pops! Great craft beer selection. Coffees available and Bourbon!!! We loved their trail mix snack and can't wait to go back! They also have advent beer calendars which is awesome!!!
Awesome new, now full service version, of the beloved craft beer shop in Roscoe Village/West Lakeview. We were excited they now serve food! The smash buger and tempura fried pickled green beans were delicious and affordable. We also ordered the curry to dip our fries in.. 10/10. Cat and Zach took great care of us. If you are feeling adventurous try the Braaaaains mango/banana fruit sour its like a boozy naked juice!
Huge fan. Awesome selection of crafty and unique beers. Attached to a coffee bar/beer store and has decent food to warm you up. Not great for sports watching, but this is an awesome spot to catch up with friends. In the summer they have a patio with tons of space and doubles as a good remote work spot.
I've driven by this place for about a year, always looking at it, extremely interested to go in. Well, today was the day. Glad i did, the staff very friendly, the environment very warm and welcoming, beers on tap were great and the smash burgers 100! They seemed to have other things going on like a store to buy beer to go and coffee maybe?? Anyway, hope y'all don't wait a year, go to Bitter Pops now!
Best spot in the neighborhood. Bar and Kitchen staff always super friendly, helpful and eager to serve up the good stuff. Food menu keeps getting better and better every time we go, and I only wish the kitchen was open more. I also had my engagement party in their back room space. Everyone loved it. Worth spending the $200 rental fee for groups and gatherings of around 20 people.
Food was good, however, you place order for food in one place and then drinks you have to obtain at the bar. When food is ready you'll be paged via text, on your cellphone. You'll pick it up and take it to where you're seated. There isn't traditional table service. Staff will take trash from where your seated, but that's it. Atmosphere is nice, however, on our visit on a Friday at dinner, it was bustling and very loud. If you have issues of hearing this isn't a place you'd want to visit if you're attempting to converse over food.
Great coffee and beer cafe. Nice selection on tap but the selection of canned beer, cider and booze is just great!
Great place, highly knowledgeable staff and an enormous selection of specialty beers as well as a huge selection and variety of wine. I like that they have delivery as well as contactless pick up, as well as in-store shopping. We were able to grab a variety pack as a gift and the selection was excellent.
