My husband and I rented one of the charming cabins here beachside for a weekend getaway this Summer. The sunset views from the 100 metre long beach lined with mature weeping willows are spectacular. We would highly recommend Willow Cove. It is very clean and well organized. Family-friendly as well. We were on the water all day and cozied up to our private firepit in the evenings. The management are welcoming and helpful. The only issue is you have to book in advance as this is a very popular spot! We will be back next Summer!
We've been seasonal campers at Willow Cove Park for several years now, and we just love it! It's a quiet, family-oriented park, and the other campers are a lovely, fun and friendly group. We love that it's very spacious. The trailers aren't jammed in every available spot like in some other parks. It's a great spot for boating, fishing, and swimming, and we especially like to get out in the canoe or on the paddleboards. There's a lovely sandy beach area, which is great for the kids to swim and play. The park is located on the west side of Prince Edward County, so it's just a short drive from all that the County has to offer including artists' studios, restaurants, Sandbanks, and many wineries. The owners are great, really good with communication, and everything is very organized and well run. Handyman/Groundskeeper Dave is awesome too. Always so helpful and cheerful. The park is kept neat and tidy; lots of trees and gardens, with gorgeous weeping willows all along the waterfront - just beautiful! And of course, the sunsets. We've never seen sunsets as spectacular as the ones we see most nights from Willow Cove Park out across Weller's Bay. We think this park is a hidden gem, and feel very fortunate that we're able to spend time here. We can't wait for the season to open!
Sam and Jeanine are amazing owners with a tonnof knowledge. Very fair to their campers and give a lot back with special events and personal Interactions. The swimming areas are very well maintained and the extracurricular sporting activities are a nice added touch.
Had my first stay here late this summer and was completely charmed. I will be back. Huge waterfront on Wellers Bay. Friendly neighborhood/community feel. Everybody out on their decks, BBQing, visiting or just enjoying the view. It was a real bonus for me to be in Prince Edward County. Lots to see and do if I got antsy. But really it was a little slice of waterfront heaven.
15-20yrs ago my boyfriend's father took his family here to camp- b.f said it was the best camping trip of his life when he was younger so he thought taking his own family 20 yrs later- Beautiful clean location right close to the water, we were tenting for more than a couple days and one day it was really miserable with lots of rain. Owners let our family stay in the warm dry cabin for the same price to let us dry our clothes and to have a better night's sleep- great service by great thoughtful sweet People- never forget that there is still actually nice people out there in this world. Would def go there again, every summer!! Haven't been in like 5 yrs - Def need an getaway soon!!
Nicely kept secret, told my friends about the place but didn't "really" tell them where it was . For overnight camping or more, great place. However, keep in mind that there are no provisions on site, you need to come with all your supplies. Consecon is within bike distance for supplies. Sunsets are incredible. Pet friendly. They have 4 lakefront sites with 15amp/water/sewage. We were planning 5 nights, stayed for 9, that's how relaxing it was. Billy and his "Lady", Kenny, thanks for the warm reception. We will be back, hopefully with our pontoon boat !
I only visited the campground, I never camped there. The campers are nice and the campground is clean and seems fairly well setup. Nice dock/swimming area.
No rec hall. No pool, 15 amp service.
Amazing place! Been coming here 7yrs..always hard to leave!
