Tipper's Family Campground

We stayed in mid Aug for a weekend and had the best experience. The owners were very nice and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The campground is clean with lots of great amenities for families. Campsites are spacious and private. We will definitely be returning next summer!

We are seasonal’s at Haid’s Hideaway and love it there! It is peaceful and private, and offers some great common amenities and activities. Hosts Rob & Elizabeth are awesome and hard working people. They are perfectionists about taking care of the park and they really care about their campers too, it truly is a special place!

Park was closed due to tornado damage. Understandable. Asked for a refund on my deposit or apply it to a booking next year. Response: "Note that we did not cancel your booking; mother nature did! That would be like me asking you for the remainder of money I did not get from you for not being here!" I do not recall cancelling anything. Would have gladly applied the deposit to a future booking. Keeping my deposit and blaming mother nature for profit? Shady business practice. Will never return.

My daughter and I spent two nights in one of the newest cabins this campground has to offer. There are so many thoughtful touches that truly made it feel like home. We enjoyed lazing around in the rapids just steps away from both cabins, and bouncing on the Big Bouncer they have. The owners care about every aspect of the campground, and it shows. The cabins are a great way to enjoy the experience of camping without having to wrestle with a tent or trailer. You can literally pull in, unpack, and start enjoying yourselves!

We have a seasonal site. Rob and Elizabeth are friendly and very accommodating to our needs. They keep the park in ship shape and even provide a Newsletter to keep everyone informed. We are very pleased.

Me and my two daughters stayed two nights at the one cabin … very clean and such nice decor … owners make sure your welcomed and made our stay so lovely… back again in September!!!! Thanks Haid’s Hideaway for having the most clean and quiet park !!!

I’d give no stars if possible. We paid for 3 nights for a cabin rental, a tornado came through our second night staying 3rd day had to leave after roads were cleared and we were able to leave as we had no water no power and trees were still falling so it was unsafe. I emailed to get my $200 back since we obviously could not stay and the owner Elizabeth refused to respond to my 5 emails! Very disappointing!!!!!

Great campground and Elizabeth and Rob were extremely honest, helpful and kind! Clean and adorable little cabin by the water which was the perfect little retreat! Our dog loves it here! Such lush greenery. We went on a canoe ride which was very peaceful. Make sure you bring lots of bug spray or something to keep the mosquitoes away though!

Currently at at Haid’s for a weekend fall camp. A very well kept campground, washrooms and out house facilities are immaculate. The sites are spacious, the dog park is awesome and the park has lots of untouched green space. Definitely on the list of “will visit again” parks!

What a great campground! Family and friends camped for 5 days. Owners were very nice. They kept the sites very clean. The Skootamatta River for everyone to explore various wildlife, rapids, and take in the scenery. Campground is pet friendly, with a off leash area which is a nice addition. Great little beach for the kids to swim and have fun! A wonderful place to relax and unwind.
