Nice campground/boat launch/day use area in the Yakima Canyon. Kept very clean, good bathrooms, lots of picnic tables. Boat launch area can get crowded with kids/families playing in the water there. Campsites closest to the boat launch are the best as they have some shade. Away from the launch expect to be woken up early by the intense sun. You can reserve campsites on line.

We did a summer float down the Yakima River and this was where we got out. Lots of fun.

It was such a great location and plenty of room for everyone. The only annoyance of the weekend was big gusts of wind that blew through, but that was from storms that never made it over the maintains. Obviously can't be helped! Definitely going back next season.

Very well maintained campground. We've camped here with our RV several times. There is no water or electric on the property, so be be sure you bring water! The bathrooms are basically a toilet with a hole in the ground. Our camper is fully self contained, so we did not use the restrooms. Sites are paved and level. Some are on the river. We have 3 kids (6, 3 & 1) and my only complaint is that there isn't really a lot for them to do besides ride their bikes or play around the campground. Overall it's a nice campground for $15 a night!

Exactly what we needed, for a weekend getaway in May. We tow a self contained RV, so the lack of onsite power and water is not an issue. Train tracks directly across the river, but we like the sound of horns, locomotives, and brakes. Bald eagles flying low overhead, and deer grazing on the hillside above the tracks, and lots of birds. Nice relaxing place for us.
