I appreciate the knowledgeable staff here. Every time I've needed assistance, they've been incredibly helpful without being to pushy on the sales. I also like that they carry a wide selection of healthy-looking fish. They also provide items to stock your salt or fresh water tanks (live rock, coral, drift wood, etc).

This place is FANTASTIC. Great selection and variety, good assortment of recognized names as well as economy options. Beautiful panoply of all types and breeds of aquatic creatures. Great value, helpful staff. I have only been there 3 times, and though there were a number of customers in the store I was approached each time and more than once each visit to ensure I was finding what I was looking for. Most of the value of my rating is because of the attentive yet not pushy customer service.

They are a good store to go to for equipment. There is tons of selection and great return policy on items. However when I have bought fish from them usually 4 out of ten have brought a disease into my tank I've since learned the importance of a quarantine tank. If you do buy fish make sure to keep them separate for a month or so and treat with a broad spectrum medication such as para guard. Also they do not dip their plants so there's a chance of pest snails and microscopic bugs they do have some nice plants though so if you are worried about it is suggest a permanganate dip at home.

They have a large variety of sea life here, but the staff is very inconsistent in their advice. We have been here several times and every time we go a staff member tells us to do something differently, which can be very confusing when you are trying to get the right info about how to start an aquarium.

This is one of the best pet stores in Edmonton. They have a huge selection of fish and reptiles (including supplies). There is limited parking, however, so there is possibility that you'll have to park across the street. The assistance from employees is fairly good, but quite slow to asking if you need help when you're looking at things. Several times when I've been there and had a question about a reptile supply, I was passed along 3 times through different people because they didn't actually know who was in that department. It seems to me that communication between departments could be a bit better, but other than that it's quite good.
