The room was nice and cozy but the morning breakfast service was ok. I found a hair on a plate before my mother was able to grab it. Then when I was eating my breakfast all the food items weren't heated correctly as most hot food items were cool, not warm or hot. Then as I was eating my bacon I found a small black hair in it. I have long dark hair so couldn't have been my own hair that accidentally fell into the food. Overall the experience here is mid level satisfaction. Not the worst but not the greatest either.
5 Star for this hotel and if we are ever in town again this will be our first choice place to stay.nThe room was comfortable clean and had nice air quality, everything you expect at a hotel and great service. The breakfast offered a great variety and the servers were so super friendly. I felt like their favorite guest, but then I witnessed them treating everyone that way. Wow! So hospitable! Also, I must mention the pool! Oh how we enjoyed the outdoor heated pool. It would often run out of towels but they were always happy to help at the main desk.nAlso, as a busy mom finally getting a vacation I really appreciated that they have room service everyday! It feels so good to come back to beautifully made beds and fresh towels everyday, especially when I didn't have to provide that service for once.
Lovely place with great friendly staff and a good location for driving into Vancouver. The Real Canadian Supermarket close by and a reasonable amount of places to eat. Breakfast was included and had enough options, not loads, but enough that we had two nice mornings with their breakfasts.nThe gym was clean and tidy, laundry room presentable and all functional. Plenty of parking and easily accessible in all manners. The rooms were exceptionally clean, well presented and spacious for the price, not dated but not modern, very comfy and big bed.nnOnly downsides are the AC is an internal unit, so the compressor makes a lot of noise when it kicks on, and there's no windows to let in air, maybe thats for security, but if you want silence then you could be either too hot or cold depending on time of year.nOur fridge was very loud too, but it was fine as we didn't need it so just turned it off.nnTotally fair for the price we paid, great experience overall. Thanks to all the staff !
I had queries and sent to the hotel via hotels.com platform several times but never got a response from the hotel. There is no email on the hotel website to contact direct. Upon check in, the hotel lobby is nicely refurbished with pleasant scent. However when I was shown the way to the bedroom, I was surprised to find out this is not a hotel but more like a motel! All corridors are outside. I wish they have shown pictures of the corridors on the hotels.com website so I knew this is a motel as I wouldn’t have booked it. I don’t like the layout and setting of motel as I don’t feel safe and it’s noisy being close to outside.nMostly importantly I was shocked by the state of the room. It’s very outdated with knackered and chipped furniture with doors which don’t close. Toilet seat is smaller. I always take shoes off in the hotel room. Soon I noticed the bottom of my feet were grey and stuck with fluff and dirt. It was disgusting. I called reception and they sent a cleaner quite quickly. I asked the cleaner to vacuum the floor first but she said she only has a broom. What kind of hotel which doesn’t even have a vacuum?! You can’t possibly clean the floor properly with the amount of fluff and dust stuck onto my feet in such short space of time. The cleaner swept once and then mopped twice. I appreciated the effort. I stepped on the floor and again my feet was tuck with dirt, less than before. I didn’t think hotel can do anything else to improve the cleanliness so left it as it is.
The Hotel was more of a Motel with all the rooms having access outside. The safety and security of the doors was questionable as the locks were sparatic. There was kids and people running across our room window multiple times banging and we were only there for 30 mins. We booked a room with king bed and full kitchen and the stove was from the 1980’s and there was no fridge with freezer just a mini fridge. The bathtub had huge pieces missing and rust formed where the pieces were gone and had mold all around. It was not even acceptable as a 2-3 star location. Did not feel safe and will NEVER book this location. Elevator smelt of drugs and cigarettes and felt very unsafe for me and my family.
