I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Happy Day Inn Motel, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way possible. From the warm and welcoming staff to the cozy and comfortable rooms, every aspect of my stay was delightful.nFirstI cannot praise the staff enough for their exceptional service. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with genuine smiles and a willingness to assist with any request. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, the staff at Happy Day Inn went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Their professionalism and hospitality truly set this motel apart from others I've visited.nnAs for the rooms themselves, I was thoroughly impressed by the level of comfort and cleanliness. My room was spacious, well-appointed, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere that made me feel instantly relaxed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in amenities such as the quality linens and plush towels.nnOne thing that stood out to me was the attention to cleanliness throughout the motel. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of maintaining the rooms and common areas, and I felt reassured knowing that the highest standards of cleanliness were being upheld, especially during these times.
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. A $200 security deposit was required upon arrival which was more than the cost of a room for one night. The hotel felt dirty and unsafe leading us to stacking bags behind the room door overnight for our safety. If we hadn’t checked in so late we would have gone elsewhere and not stayed the night.nUpon check out, we had to request our security deposit back which came as a surprise to the receptionist. An arbitrary charge was then taken from the deposit for a stained mattress protector with no evidence able to be provided as to it being damaged by us. For all we know they could charge every user of that room an arbitrary $30. This whole process was handled by a rude receptionist who had no interest in what we had to say. This same behaviour was also witnessed with another hotel guest trying to check out at the same time. If this was the last available hotel in the Vancouver area, I would not stay there again. For the same price you could get a phenomenal night at the Atrium Inn Vancouver with a similar proximity to the city with some of the best staff we came across on our trip to Canada.
I had a disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was furnished with old, worn-out furniture, and the lock on the entrance door wasn’t working. When I reported this to the reception, they advised me to leave the door unlocked, assuring me that security cameras were in place. However, when I asked if they would take responsibility for any stolen items and put it in writing, they refused. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.
It was clean and cozy with polite staff.nVery quiet room with enough facilities for cooking. It has higher standards than a mote.nThere was room cleaning service every day, but it seems that the sheets are not washed every day and just switched it.nOn the first day of arrival, I had a problem with TV, but the cable guy came immediately and fixed the problem.nUnfortunately, there was no separate room for breakfast, and you had to toke the breakfast and ate it in your room.nIn summary, I recommend this place for a short business trip without your family.
I recommended that my out of town stay here. I was embarrassed by my decision. This motel is one step above a rooming house. To add insult to injury, it's around $250 per night. If you need to stay in the area, do yourself a favour and stay at any other place.
