Disappointing Experience – Unclean Room at Queens HotelnnI typically do not leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience at the Queens Hotel due to the unacceptable condition of the room I was provided.nnI had booked a family room, but upon arrival, it was clear that the room had not been cleaned prior to my check-in. It appeared as though the previous guests had just vacated the room, and it was handed over to me without any housekeeping service being performed.nnThere were visible stains on the bed sheets, and the mattress cover had not been changed, which raised serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene and cleanliness standards.nnI genuinely feel disappointed—not only by the condition of the room but also by the fact that I spent my hard-earned money on such a poor experience. It did not meet even the most basic expectations of cleanliness or comfort.nnFor the benefit of future guests, I have attached photographs documenting the state of the room at the time of my stay.

We had a lovely 3 days at the Queen's Hotel. The room was clean and spacious. Really appreciated the mini fridge and microwave. The beds were super comfortable.nnAll of the staff we met were helpful and friendly. The location was very central to visiting friends all over the Metro Vancouver area.nnWe'll definitely be back!

The Queens Hotel is a smaller property located in New Westminster. Upon entering, we were immediately hit by a strong chemical odor. The lobby was cluttered and uninviting. After checking in, we discovered there was no elevator and a steep staircase led to the upper floors.nnThe strong smell continued throughout the hallways and into our room. Within a short time, we developed severe headaches. After careful consideration, we had no choice but to check out early as the environment was unbearable.nnWe requested a refund, but were denied because we had “used” the room—despite only washing our hands and not staying.nnThe price-performance ratio was absolutely unjustified. For the same price, there are much better hotels available closer to the airport.nnOverall, the hotel felt run-down and poorly maintained. In our opinion, it doesn’t deserve any stars. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

I stayed at this hotel with my child for 4 nights.nOn arrival staff were courteous and welcoming when shown my room .nThe room I initially booked, was a standard size twin room , after viewing , I realised the room was a little too small for us.nI informed staff at the front desk and they were more than happy to upgrade for a small additional fee. The rooms were so clean , fitted with a fridge , microwave , laminate flooring and cable TV.nThe staff were fiendly and went above and beyond to accommodate your stay .nComplementary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks were available 24 hours each day. .nThe hotel was quiet and relaxing , I will definitely be staying here again and 100% recommend this hotel .

Wouldn’t return. Staff are very nice and responsive, but the condition and environment is concerning. A hair was spotted on a pillow in the bed. In a sunny day with day light in the room, you’ll know how dusty the room is. The room we stayed makes me feel like I’m in Tokyo. I’m ok with 2 star hotel in a relative poor condition, but with this price, I’m beyond disappointed.
