Best Buy

After about a decade of going there even factoring in other sites like in Ottawa they get a coveted 5 star rating from me because they respect the customer. More often here you will get honest employees who believe the customer on prices and personal experience and with the exception of one instance will they pretend to know more than they do. The store is well organized casually and for special events and the lines move efficiently. I cannot recall a better experience or impression at another retailer.

I got a gaming laptop a year or two ago and shortly after getting it, my laptop developed an issue with it's battery. At first I left it as it was, since it worked fine while plugged in, but when it deteriorated more I took my laptop into Geek Squad to get it fixed. We paid $100 extra for them to back up all the files on my computer so if it got reset at the factory, we could restore it. So my laptop was sent to the factory, the battery was replaced, and then it was returned to me today. When I turned on my laptop, all my files, pictures, everything was gone. It even deleted games that I had paid hundreds of dollars for. I took my laptop into Best Buy and they insisted no one touched the files, so everything should still be there. Obviously, it isn't there. They returned the $100, and said they had no backup. I couldn't care less about that $100. That doesn't pay for my games. That doesn't pay for all the pictures deleted. That doesn't pay for all the files on the computer I lost that I spent months creating. I got My $100 back, but I lost everything. Some of those files contained my passions, things I loved that are more important to me than life itself. And now everything is gone because Best Buy didn't do their job and backup my laptop like they were PAID to do.

Shining Star Service, Competitive Prices I'm not a newbie when it comes to technology. In fact, I'd happily classify myself as somewhat of a geek. So, when I want, or need, or want to look at something I need, Best Buy is usually a stop on my list. I picked up a few things at the Best Buy in Kingston and the staff was very helpful, products were available, and the prices were competitive. I've returned to this store a few more times whenever I was in the area, and I always walked out with a positive experience. Thank you

I took my daughter in for a lap top this weekend and Jason Lee helped us. He was beyond great! He found us amazing deals and helped get everything she needed set up. Next time we need anything Best Buy will be our 1st stop! Thank you so much, I'm tech stund and without his help I never would have gotten through the process.

Reserved printer while going through the car wash ! They hold it for the day ! So 20 minutes later i get an email it is ready to pick up !! Stood in line for maybe 5 minutes !! Saved 100 bucks and another present done ! Thanks Best Buy for making my shopping experience on Black Friday a speedy one !
