Best Buy

Staff are woefully under trained. Many seem to be also lacking in any desire to go beyond the the call of duty. Prices are fair and selection is good.

This Best Buy location is the absolute worst. Always has employees standing around but still have to wait for service. Also, why have a Geek Squad help desk if, for most problems, you need to call Geek Squad for service? A helpful rep would take me aside and go through the process of calling into Geek Squad with me - I know this isn't necessary but when you drive all the way into a store, that would be much appreciated instead of simply being turned away. On top of that they try to cover their butts by feeding customers standard lines such as " Sorry that the service was not properly explained to you". I get it, you need to have standard lines in these situations because nobody knows what another rep might have said to a customer. But repeating that line upwards of 5 times while refusing to look me in the eyes is not great service - it is a robot telling me that as a customer, my problem is not important. Of course service will never change as they have the monopoly on cell phone products here in Canada. So frustrating - would recommend driving to Cambridge for your troubles as they've always been much more helpful in my opinion.

Typically, floor staff everywhere not always are helpful. But yesterday, on Nov. 8, 2017 I have visited Best Buy and dealt with Mariah T. She was really pleasant, professional, answered for all my difficult questions, explained me some technical information. It is great service.

They have pretty much everything you need, except customer service. I was looking at items throughout the store and wasn't asked if I needed assistance even once. If you already know what you're after it's a good place to go, if you need help, don't set your expectations high.

Staff are helpful and friendly but they don't really offer help unless you ask
