I would like to say thank you and share my gratitude with both Will, Manager at the Best Buy Stone Rd. location, Guelph and Erin, Geek Squd Customer Representative at this same store. Both Will and Erin are amazing employees and very positive representatives for Best Buy as a company and should be highly commended by their management superiors. My family had a complex and difficult situation on our hands with our son's laptop, bought at Best Buy, and Will and Erin approached our challenge with knowledge, patience, professionalism and kindness. They took the time to answer all of our questions, offer solutions and ultimately fix the problem for us, with added information to consider for the future. Shame on you Best BuynPurchased an iPad from Best Buy website, unbeknownst to me it was a Market Place purchase that could not be returned to the store. Nowhere on the order did it say it was from a third party, my belief was that it was on the Best Buy website and as such was through Best Buy. I have done business in the past with Best Buy, but since this was Best Buy Market Place, Best Buy washes their hands of the problem. I did not want the product, but picked it up from the post office. Now since I didn’t want it I have to pay shipping???? I was being honest when I picked it up, instead of just leaving it at the Post Office to be returned, but if I had know this was some after market thing, I should have been less than honest and simply dropped it on the floor and returned it damaged, so the Best Buy aftermarket seller would have paid shipping. As stated I have done business with Best Buy before and had assumed the item could simply be returned to a store. The way this apparent policy is through Best Buy, the chances of doing business with Best Buy again is non existent, when I can’t simply return an unwanted item.
I want to give a huge shout out to Noah who works in the cellphone department for helping me understand and figure out a better plan with my cellphone carrier. He explained all my options in a concise and simple way for me to understand. I will definitely be using Best Buy in the future for all my cell phone needs. Thanks for all your help, Noah!
This review is not specific to this location, but rather a general review of Best Buy's customer service and delivery. We made an online purchase through Best Buy on Black Friday. It was not until After the purchase was complete that we were told our merchandise can ONLY be delivered on Thursdays. So we had to take time off work and wait for the delivery. Delivery was December 4thnIt was an 85inch TV, we had to pay to have it installed by an outside company, which is fine. Once it was powered up, we noticed a defect on the screen. My husband immediately called and notified them. The customer service individual said they would get back to us. That took few days. Finally we made arrangements to our surprise for pick up of defective and delivery of new TV for a Friday... December 19th, My husband took the day off work this time.nThe delivery truck showed up on Thursday!! Marked us as missed delivery. When my husband spoke with them they assured him they will return Friday as originally scheduled. We had the TV dismounted not an easy task and repacked that evening.nNO ONE showed up on Friday and we were sent an email that next available delivery is on January 8th!! Countless hours on the phone with customer service and it got us no where.nSo, before you make an on line purchase through best buy, I would strongly advise to think twice. We will NEVER purchase another item through Best Buy. They have had our $$ since mid November and we have no TV over Christmas and into New Year.nWe tried offering to come and drop off their defective product and pick up our TV, but was told this is NOT possible.nAs I told the customer service that was of NO HELP, I will write a negative review every day until the TV is delivered.
