Useless. Tried to make a simple change to my homeowner policy. Couldnt do it on their website. Took 5 minutes to find their hidden phone number. Called it. Waded through phone mail jail - then it says no one is available and hangs up. Tried live chat. After 5 minutes I'm told to call the number where no one answer and they hang up. Moving my business elsewhere

I have been a Belairdirect client for years and have always been handed good advice without them trying hard to upsell on any frivolous add ons. You actually can get them on the phone with very little wait! They always go over my condo insurance to ensure my deductibles are covered and ensure I am safe from unexpected disasters. They have a great loyalty discount. Go shop around and ask what other agents think about this Canadian owned company and I bet you will get positive feedback.

Zero Stars. I had car and home insurance with Belair. When my home insurance was coming up for renewal I thought it would automatically renew with my credit card just like the car insurance. It did not. I didn't know and received a very late email 1.5 months late That my home insurance was canceled... I tried to fix it and renew it again but they would not accept me any longer because I didn't have insurance for a couple months on my home. They screwed me... I now am trying to find home insurance with much difficulty because of the cancelation and no insurance on a dwelling for a couple months... I do not recommend them.

I have been driving for 40 years and belairdirect is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Just for the record, I didn't sign up belairdirect, I was co-opted when they took over Canadian Direct. I won't be renewing my insurance with this company. When you read the following you will know why . . . On March 08, 2020 I called my insurance company belairdirect to have my car towed out of the underground parking. To make a long story short, my car was damaged as the car was towed up the ramp out of the garage. The strap gave way and my car rolled down the ramp crashing against the security fencing. As it turns out, Advance Towing did not have any insurance at the time of the accident so I have to pay $500.

I have been a client since 1996 and have stayed with them through all of the mergers and acquisitions. A really great team of folks to deal with. They came through for me when I needed them the most and, I will continue to stay with them as my insurance provider.

I have carried two policies with Belair Direct- they have been reliable for condo owner insurance and dealing with 2 leaks that I had in the past. But recently, I experienced devastating loss due to a fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt or injured. However, I lost about $8K worth of personal belongings. Belair Direct took over 8 weeks to process my claim, provided me with no updates during that time, did not respond to my one phone call or one email follow up requesting an update, made a mistake on the global cash settlement they offered me which I accepted but then they paid me $1700 less, and they have not responded to my request to speak to a manager. I would recommend you do not buy insurance from Belair Direct. I have asked around and will be renewing my home insurance with BCAA. For BC residents

Great Customer Service experience! The agent knew exactly what to do and was able to explain clearly any questions I had about insurance changes to my plan.

BelairDirect just feels like a reputable company that you're in good hands with. I have home insurance with this company and find it quick and easy to change my plans and renew each year. Prices are competitive with other companies.

Don’t give your money to this company… I had a break in and a bunch of stuff stolen from my house. Replacement value should have been about $5000 but their claims department added depreciation on everything and offered my $1600 on a $1000 deductible. Waste of money, unless you want an insurance company that’s not going to cover you.

Would not renew my insurance because there was an airbnb at my residence. Asked to speak to a Manager and was told it was not possible but I would get a call back in 3 days. No one ever called. A very disappointing experience considering I have been a customer for many years. Use BCAA instead. Much better service.
