Beaver Lake Nature Center

One of my favorite places to hike! The trails are wide and easily accessible. There are different types of terrain to explore and different length trails to meet your needs. I love the Deep Woods Trail for a walk through mature forest plus a trek along the lake. In the center, there is a nice place for children to play, exhibits and a birdwatching area. Relax in the many gliders on the porch or bring a picnic to enjoy in the great outdoors. You can buy hot beverages in the gift shop, perfect for chilly mornings. The bathrooms are always clean when I'm there. Be sure to bring along the parking fee. You pay on your way out, and the machine takes singles, fives, quarters and cards.

Beaver lake is beautiful and just the right length for a family walk. There are a few different trails but overall the main trail goes all the way around Beaver Lake. You can see a good variety of wildlife, and catch gorgeous pictures of the lake at sunrise or sunset depending on which side of the lake your on. There is a look out on one side with a telescope for viewing and benches periodically to give you a chance to sit and enjoy the scenery.

The Lake Loop trail is my favorite place to run. Every time I go there, I’m left in awe by how beautiful it is and how much it clears my mind from the everyday nonsense that takes up too much space in my head. My family and I always enjoy our time here.

This is one of the best nature centers around the area. It has so much to offer. Trails to walk, and many other activities. I would recommend that you join. This will give you free entry as a member, a news blip 4 times a year and it will list all the activities for family fun. Not only entertaining but educational as well.

Choose from marked trails how long of a walk you would like to take. Peaceful place to go. Kids love it as well.
