Oneida Shores County Park

My wife and I attended a wedding reception at the lodge at this park several weeks ago. It is a nice modern facility with a beautiful fireplace and a rustic look. It seated about 125 people comfortably. The park itself has a little bit of everything, a nice picnic area, a well-maintained boat launch on Oneida Lake, and a wooded section for snow shoeing, cross country skiing and hiking. Oh, and during the summer it has a nice beach with lifeguards and a beach house for swimming.

It's a great place for you to go with your family. There's plenty of spots to sit down and have a cookout and/or a picnic. My family has had a couple family reunions there and we all definitely had a great time hanging out and swimming. I definitely recommend people who haven't been there before to definitely go this summer and check it out for yourself.

Fun fact. Oneida Shores County Park is open year-round. Season beach and boat launch passes are available to purchase. Our carry in-carry out policy helps protect the environment and litter bags are provided for your convenience. No glass is allowed and alcohol is limited to one six pack per legal adult. No beer kegs. All areas of the park, except the beach, are accessible and pets, if brought to the park, must be on a leash not longer than 6', inoculated for rabies, and never left unattended.

We went fishing here on the on The Rockpile. In the evening the fish are great. I wish it was at wish they would build a dock around that pile little bit so that handicapped people could access it better. We have fished at this location for many years. Take time to enjoy the nature that surrounds our everyday lives.

Great place to launch boats or jetskis. Beach is... well it's a public beach. If you're launching rooftop vessels don't waste your money and launch at a public access site for free.
