This is our new favorite place to go where we can bring our dogs. I love letting them run free in such a safe space. It's such a well maintained park with tons of walking trails, ponds and doggie bags with trash cans all throughout the park.
We love this park! Very nice, lots of shade for hot days plus waterpark during summer months. Newer playground area has natural element areas and 2 zip lines. There is a 2nd playground that is great for 3-10 year old age. Clean bathrooms, pavilion, plentiful picnic areas and walking trails. We spend 2+ hours easily anytime we visit.
I absolutely LOVE the new playground. It's beautiful! The water features are fun, very natural looking and spark creativity. The slides are HUGE. There is a perfect spot for the little ones to play, an area to build log forts and best of all, 2 ziplines! Both my 7 and 3 year old kids had a blast with all of the new friends they met while playing. Also, there is seating all around the park so the caretakers always have the kids in sight. This is our favorite park in St. Paul.
One of the top Twin Cities metro parks. Extensive and smooth trails for hikers and bikers, opportunities for views of the St. Paul skyline. The park also has a nice creek and a few small waterfalls. A dog park is also nearby!
We stopped at this park down off 61 at the bluffs to walk my dog. Hasnt changed much over the years. Well, the names carved in the sandstone have changed. Youll find in the harder to access areas, scrawled in the rock, some usefull tips of what to do with yourself and some profanity that could make a sailor blush.
I love this park mainly for the dog park as there is just so many hiking trails and it's fully tree-covered it makes it so beautiful. During the summer the dogs like going swimming in the pond and in the winter they just love running around everywhere with other dogs. With all the trails and tree coverings it's quite magical actually. I've yet to see a better dog park. The only downside is they do not provide doggie bags you have to bring your own but they do provide trash cans throughout.
Absolutely beautiful place! So many options from a dog park to walking trails and playground! Can't wait to explore more!!
Nice park wide trails so people can walk side by side . They keep it clean very little trash If you're planning on a good nature walk then maybe check it out. The park is split into sections off upper afton both north and south parking also you can go in off lower afton.
Beautiful trails to walk along in the heart of the city. Yet you'd never know because the beautiful tree lined paths transport you to the feeling of walking out in the country!
Huge stretch of trails through woods, different paths to go down every time you visit keeps it new and exciting. There are a few open spots along the trails which are great for the dogs to play together. My dog absolutely loves coming here and sitting on the benches
