Barry Bagels - Maumee

Bagel Sandwich was good. The problem I had was cleanliness of counter where sandwiches are made. It's not cleaned between orders. There were many onions and other sandwich debris laying where the new sandwich was made. Employee was so soft spoken I could hardly hear him even after I said I can't hear you. I asked to add avocado, which he had no clue about! Just said he was new and didn't bother to ask the other employee next to him, who also seemed confused with the order he was working on. So I just said forget it. My first thought was, are you guys stoned? I mentioned to the employee that since he's new, a word of advice, clean off the counter between sandwiches as I am very allergic to onions and hoped the ones he made My sandwich on top of didn't soak into my bagel! The cut was not even on the sandwich, so the one 1/2 had a sliver of bagel and the other almost the full side. Cashier mentioned it was the sandwich maker's 1st day when I Said he seemed lost. So Maybe your management should be there to train people on their position rather than just putting someone that is clueless to do the job! It's been 10 years since I visited a BB. Since I was near there decided to stop, but quality and service has definitely gone down!

9 /18 /22 wife just picked up to sandwiches And I order a full salami and only got 4 slices of meat and no cheese with should be provolone! And my wife's had no cheese ! For $20.00 got jiped!

Everything in this place is delicious and fresh. The sandwiches are made to order and the people who work there are really welcoming and make great sandwiches . The bagels are the best I've ever had. Unfortunately I live 2hrs away

I love Barrys but the Maumee location to absolutely filthy! They should close and sanitize the entire place. Really ruins your appetite walking into the place. Go to the Downtown Toledo location for a better experience.

The cashier stood directly in front of me at the counter. She did not say one word to me. She didn't even acknowledge my presence. I was getting ready to leave without ordering until someone from the back came out and helped me.

The bagle was fine, the coffee warm and tasty. However the crew were singing and dancing when every table was a nasty sticker mess. How clean is the back when the front is completely neglected?

Staff is great and the food except the beverages. Always out of tea and coffee is cold. Sprite had a bunch of black particles in it

I love this place I really do but the service has gone downhill. I’m sick of seeing the “we’re short staffed be patient nonsense” Every time I come in here there seems to be different people behind the counter and every single one of them seem to make the same order a different way. That’s more of a management issue than a “short staffed be patient” problem. Also not thrilled when I order online and come in and they tell me “I’ll get started on it now” I do it online and order ahead to avoid waiting 15 minutes in the store. Even with my complaint this is the best place for a bagel in the area. Just please get on the same page.

This bagel spot seems to be the best in the area. Nice staff, quick preparation and tasty bagel sandwiches. I got a salt bagel and it was as plenty salty, which I love. Definitely worth a stop!
