Very disappointed with this place. Maybe the experience was bad in part because I was visiting in the off-season. The front desk staff member was disinterested and gave the impression she did not want to be there. The massage service third-party vendor was worse. She could not keep her schedule straight and blamed me for her lack of organization. While it is understandable that the outdoor staff was clothed, so was the indoor staff. Seemed to be against the general idea of the place. Being midday, I tried to get lunch, only to find the restaurant was closed. Not even a sign to let know know that it was closed or when it might re-open. If the restaurant is going to be closed , it should be published ahead of time, especially if there is nowhere else close else to get food. The grounds were nice and well maintained. Might be a nice place to be on a summer's day. I do not know if this place is better in the summer, but as an off-season stop it was not the friendly nor professionally run.
Spending 2 days at Bare Oaks was amazing! I stayed overnight in a Queen room and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was just across the hallway so very convenient, but no one is coming here for the room! The grounds were very well-maintained and there were many amenities! Even though it was mid-September, I was able to swim in the lake and use the pool for a short period, right after using the hot tub or sauna. There are trails all around the resort and I took advantage of them all. It's really great to be naked in nature and Bare Oaks is the perfect place for this. The people I met there were also great and unlike the other places I have visited public nude beaches and my local non-landed club, there were many young naturists... like in their 20's! Toronto being very Toronto, there were Asians, Indians and Middle-Easterners visiting the place... which is something I am not used to see in a naturist setting. I also had dinner and breakfast at the Bare Bistro. Good food and not very expensive. It's convenient. For those with electric cars: there is a charging station @ $5/hr. Thank you to the guests/residents/members who made me feel welcomed, the amazing staff, including the one who took my picture behind the Bare Oaks sign after her shift. Nice little souvenir!
We spent a couple of days at Bare Oaks our 1st stay. The grounds are really nice and the staff was friendly and wonderful. The King rm was very comfy. Food at the Bistro was excellent. We hope to make it back.
Great place great vibe great people. Changed our lives in many folds. Became our second home. Hopefully we ll be living here year long .To Me and my wife its our family. Unfortunately when I tried posting pics here it got removed.
I visited for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. My visit was only a few hours since I was just passing through, but I got to check out some of the facilities. Everything I saw was clean and well maintained, the pool is smaller than some, but well kept and nice. The restaurant stood out for me, I had lunch and it was a fantastic burger, I highly recommend it. The staff were all super friendly and made me feel at home. The other guests were also great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I look forward to another visit when I have more time to stay.
We visited for the first time ever on a hot sunny day in early June, midweek. It was very quiet and we felt free and welcomed. This was the first time visiting a Naturist park for my 3 kids 1, 3 and 6 years old and they really REALLY loved it. We tried the Bare Bistro fries and hot dogs which, again, the kids loved. We tried the mini golf and mostly played around the kids area before heading home for baby to take a nap. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Because it was our first visit they did an amazing job explaining what activities we can do via a quick video at the registration desk. Trying to convince my wife to join us next time and visit soon! The kids have been asking to visit the beach next time ! We also would love to try the pool as it wasn't quite yet open for the season. Please give this resort a try if you've been thinking about it.
Lovely area, staff in office especially the female staff are not so professional. Please don't pay a full membership and expect a refund if they decide they don't like you anymore, you won't get it back. Definitely not all inclusive as appearance may claim. Kitchen staff awesome as well as the local residents who do make you feel at home. Response to these lies, no damage was done we have a video please stop lying to people. They do not refund we been waiting on a return call for two months about our money and nothing. So stop lying please I can post the video and then lie again to the people.
Such a freeing experience. This was my first experience with naturalism and it was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and approachable. The lake is beautiful. Shout out to Rachel, George and Sam! You guys made the weekend awesome!!!! I will definitely be back.
Everyone was super friendly, guests and staff. The grounds were very well-kept, all amenities in great shape. I loved my time there and can't wait to go back!Service: 5/5
Let the stress of the clothed world fall away. Swim, sunbathe, have a great meal at the cafe, sauna, book a cabin. A wonderful community in a very peaceful setting. Update 2022. I went swimming Sept 11 and the weather was overcast. No sunburn!
