Ponderosa Campground

Henry and Trudy we're extremely helpful and nice. Seasonal campers we're friendly and welcoming. This is a great location if you're looking to be close to local attractions and still feel like you're camping. The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been less rain!!!! I'd stay here again if I was looking to stay in this area.

Always a great place to camp be it seasonal or just for a weekend. Staff are very accommodating, very helpful, and super friendly. The public facilities are very well maintained and clean. The planned events keep you so busy that you wish every weekend was a long weekend. Seasonal Campers are so helpful, always there to assist. If you are looking for a great place to camp close to city limits, Ponderosa Campground is perfect for you and your family...

This was the worst camping experience in my 25 years of camping and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We arrived at the campground at 6:50 pm after being on the road for 6 hours only to find the office closed with a sign saying to call the number if there was no one in the office between 9 and 5. Although it was after 5, since we had a reservation my husband called the number. We were told that the last check in was at 6 pm and that it was indicated on the form. The only 'form' we filled out was a request for reservation and there was no information on it. We were never told that the last check it was so early. He did not care. He kept repeating that the last check in was at 6 and there was nothing he could do. He told us there were plenty of other campgrounds around. The web site states that the last check in is at 8 pm! Go figure! Luckily we found Sibbald Provincial Park just 20 min. away which was an awesome place!

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful camping sites. Family friendly. Looking forward to spending a lot of family time there.

I don't usually write reviews but this place was great. We camped there Friday and they were super accommodating and friendly. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see a Newfoundland license plate and a Newfoundland flag which made us feel right at home. I had to leave Saturday for work but they had a dance that night that I'm sad I had to miss!
