Bar Piquette

Would have ordered every dish on the menu had we left more room for food! Every item we did order was delicious, fresh and flavourful! We ordered the warm olives, burrata, East Coast oysters, 3 cheese plate and the duck liver mousse. What originally attracted me to this place was the funky wines they offered! If you’re looking for a wine bar who’s wines are as delicious and thoughtful as the food, look no further! I’m super into Skin Contact/Orange Wine right now and they had a good selection when I was there the other day! Their menu is constantly and seasonally changing so you’d have a hard time finding a menu online, or posted anywhere; just trust whatever they’re serving is spectacular! Cute, cozy, warm, intimate setting. Warm lighting and wood decor make this a great spot to go with friends or a date night. They also have a partially heated back patio which they keep open all year ‘round! Would definitely recommend this spot and am looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes! Bring a friend so you can try more items, share-style plates.

Wines, wonderful wines by the glass and bottle. Wonderful funky wines to buy. This is a big part of Bar Piquette. The other side is a fantastic restaurant that has delicious food and great service. The cheese fondue is so brilliantly boozy with creative things to dip. A massive mortadella sandwich which is the meat of the gods. I truly appreciate creative veg dishes and as I always say. You don’t need many desserts but you need one and that is exactly what they have. Sweet backyard patios are always welcome when the weather is good.

Had such a pleasant evening here. We had a handful of dishes and all of them were great. The service was great as multiple people came to check on us and make sure everything was good / cleared between services. Great wine selection. Cute. Fun vibes !

To say our visit here was a pleasant experience is an understatement. It is the cutest little spot with a great selection of wines. But surprisingly, our favourite part was the food. Their salads are so unique and are packed with flavour and their sourdough bread with caramelized shallot butter was wonderful. Definitely happy we happened to stumble upon this place.

Their outdoor patio is absolutely beautiful. Food was unbelievable, the wines recommend to pair with our food was perfect. Service was fast & attentive. I love it here! Thanks for another amazing dinner.

My friend and I couldn’t get into bar poet so we stumbled upon this cozy wine bar next to it and I am so glad we did. We were able to wine-taste some of their options before we committed to a bottle. Food was delicious especially the lemon mushroom dish and the restaurant was intimate. Service could have been better.

Gorgeous, heated, greenhouse-style, fully-enclosed backyard "patio". Friendly service. Delicious food. Very clean basement bathrooms. I spent about $70 for: one glass of orange wine, duck liver mousse toasts, and harissa carrots with labneh. What's not to love?

Bar Piquette is fabulous. I wish I remembered the name of our server, but my gd was she amazing. We ordered everything and everything was great. Drinks and the wine...oh, the wine!!! It did not disappoint. Oh, grab a spot on their back patio -- it's the most magical little garden.

This place actually reminded of a cute bar i visited in Prague which is very famous in locals called U Hrocha. They were actually winding up at 10:30 pm on a Saturday night coz of less footfall but Jonathan offered us to seat in for some drinks and guess what it got busy right after we sat in. I tried a beer which was recommended by Jonathan from some local Brewery in Toronto which was too good and tasted very similar to 1664 and for the wine he offered Gamey from the local winery called Rosewood Winery from Niagara again mind blowing. We could not eat because the kitchen was shut but will be coming back here again soon.

The atmosphere at Bar Piquette is chef's kiss. The food is better! Filled with seasonal ingredients, the pairings of flavours are superb. We had a maple roasted squash with buratta and it was to die for. Portion sizes are perfect to share a few small plates among a group of friends. Service was friendly and down to earth, and gave some great recommendations. If you like a chill vibe with great food, you won't be disappointed.
