Great service -- the nachos and calamari were very good and the jumbo shrimps were excellent fresh and perfectly cooked. Great selection of beer and overall chill atmosphere, and surprisingly reasonably priced menu. The servers were super attentive and friendly.

Good service but was average. Ordered medium rear steak and it came over cooked.

Decent local bar in the neighbourhood. Went to the patio - was very happy that they allowed our dog. The nachos and pizza were really good. Not the best cocktails, but 5 stars for the food, friendly staff and dog-friendly patio & the $6 beer!

Fun place for a night out or a drink and bite after a night out in Distillery. Definitely cheaper than the prices you'd pay to eat and drink in the crowded Distillery District, and just a short walk away.

Small quaint bar. Nice staff and really good food for a reasonable price. There's Jenga sets on the tables for those who like to play something while chatting with friends.

Nice patio, good service and good food, also they allow dogs on the patio. Reviews should be a reflection of the experience you had in the establishment that you're in. They should not be used to build up someone's worth or rank, in this case a first timers review has led us to believe the server is exceptional. Thank you

Good food in a nice atmosphere and good service. My friend and I got prompt service in a clean, bright, and airy environment from a friendly and informative server. The food arrived in a fair amount of time, was prepared well, and was delicious. Everything was a good value, will patronize again.

Great spot east of Yonge in an area that definitely needs more bars and restaurants. They have delicious food, and daily specials, plus the staff were great both times I’ve been here. Plenty of tvs if you want to watch a game, but sometimes it can fill up quick on a game night. Looks like they have space for a patio in the summer, which I am eager to come back for once summer decides to start!

I will say the waitress/server was a very delightful individual and I am not faulting her in any way. But I ordered a burger and it arrived within ~5 mins approximately. This was a bit of a red flag, since usually a burger doesn't take that little time to cook. I take a bite into it, it was reminiscent of the burgers that I had as a child at large school type BBQ outings. It was awesome for the 8 year old version of me, but if I'm paying ~$20 for it not as much. My best guess is that the burger meat was pre-cooked and kept in the fridge, and the cook/chef re-heats them in the grill as they order. I managed 2 bites and that was about all I could bare. The fries were nothing to write home about , McDonald's type cut but they tasted a bit off but not very off. Let's just say the fries were ok with some room for improvement. All and all my 2 stars are completely provided due to the very friendly service that was provided and not for the food itself. I do hope this feedback is received as constructive and that the Banknote chooses to take this as an opportunity to improve their food. It looks like they're doing good on hiring the right service staff.
