Avoided this place a lot due to how full it gets but managed to get a reservation for brunch and wow - I was stunned! The brunch is definitely a hidden gem of the city and isn’t talked about enough because everything I tried was delicious. The pork belly breakfast sandwich was totally unexpected but hit the spot and the soho has was amazing too. Definitely the 2 dishes I recommend the most. The grilled cheese and pancakes were decent too! They gave us free Irish coffee as they were experimenting so definitely extra points for that. No complaints at all - check this place out!
every time we pass by this place it was super busy, the wait list were like an hour and half or they were fully booked. never understood the reason why till I went there for lunch at 4pm on Saturday. dear lord everything we order were tasty, delicious and fresh. usually when I order calamari from other places I can taste that bitter/oily taste but theirs were like heaven. our burger, our chicken burger WERE WONDERFUL. the staff were super fun, energetic and polite. 100 million times I recommend this place
I like Ruby Soho but I don’t love it. It’s very overrated and always busy for what it is. Ya it’s nice to sit outside on their patio during the summer, but it’s not like the patio is lively or entertaining. The chicken wings are pricey but always a great option. The tacos have good flavour and is just enough food if you want to snack. This is my first time ordering the jerk bowl and I really enjoyed it. They aren’t trying to be a traditional jerk chicken bowl which I respected. The slaw, chicken, and the candied cashews provided a sweet/ savoury taste that had me begging for more.
Great place to stop by for some food and drinks. There isn’t a long wait, however it is busy inside. The nachos were amazing, made with perfect spice and so many toppings. Definitely one of the best nachos I’ve had. The seating was a bit confusing during the late evening; I came in with a group of friends and was seated at the bar with two chairs. So it’s definitely a bit confusing with seating; however, the food is good and it didn’t take too long for it to come out. Service was also great near the bar, thank you!
One of the best breakfasts I've had in a very long time. Very cute place, great service and an awesome location in the city. Usually not too busy first thing in the morning, but gets pretty busy by noon. Wish the seating would be more comfortable and have some back support. The patio furniture is also a little simple. Otherwise everything they serve is absolutely delicious
We had the Miami short ribs and and the chicken curry and chips, along with a local beer and the sour patch kid cocktail. The short ribs were extremely well flavored and well prepared. The chicken curry and chips were about what you'd expect--solid without being outstanding. The cocktail definitely made the mouth pucker and was fun. I will say that I would typically expect this type of bar/pub to have a larger selection of on-tap beers.
Rubey Soho is a great spot for us and food in Toronto. We had a few specialty cocktails and were very impressed by the taste and experience of the drinks. All of the food options were good but we did go with the lettuce wraps and were very pleased. The staff treated us like family! We will be back and bring our friends and family with next time. Would highly recommend this place to any Americans coming to Toronto. It will be something you won’t want to miss!
Really good brunch on a nice patio. Everything was insanely delicious. It’s quite popular and for good reason, there is often a line to get in, but service was good despite being packed. Lots of vegetarian options too. Oh and the decor inside is stunning.
Got the kale dip, nachos and shrimp tacos. The dip was good, shrimp tacos were okay but i was not a fan of the nachos. For the drinks those are two fuzzy peaches, one sour patch and one rocket something with the popsicle, the cocktails were all very yummy, highly recommend. Vibes were good and workers are really friendly. Would go back.
I heard a lot about this play, saw friends eat here and finally went tonight with another friend that have ate here or heard about this place. First impressions, the inside of this restaurant is amazing and the waitresses/waiters are on top of helping people if they need anything. Really good food and you get a good amount for you’re money. I’d recommend this place to anybody!
