You can camp at many different places and find faults depending on how you want to critique the locations, but Matt, Jamie and crew really do provide an outstanding camping environment!! Otherwise I would not recommend Balsam Woods Campground to others or travel from GA, pulling a camper loaded with toys, to play on the miles upon miles of Maine ATV trails. Also, great job on the improvements from the past few years. I hate to leave, but I'm not retired .....yet. Lol

Great campground. Tricky getting there. GPS showed it on opposite side of road. The campground sign partially hidden by trees. By looking on the wrong side of the road, we missed the partially hidden sign. Even trickier was finding a place to turn around. In talking to a fellow camper, they experienced the same. But the difficulty in getting there was worth it.

Perfect place during summer with friends and family. Peaceful and very friendly atmosphere. My kids favorite place to go camping. The pool, playground or just riding their bikes they always have lots of fun.

My wife and I found this beautiful hidden gem by chance online. We stayed 2 weeks at this website and LOVED IT! The owners were amazing. We recommend this camp ground to everyone who is looking for somewhere in Maine to go.
