Baldachin Inn

Good place to stay in the historic town of Merrickville. Wouldn't recommend the food at the restaurant though. Need a new chef.

Ordered the Roasted Mediterranian Salad with a Chicken Breast added for $6 (although I see that they have changed this price now). The few veggies that were there were soggy, clearly prepared way too far in advance. For the $6 I was expecting a piece of chicken, but received 4 thin slices that were dry. Not impressed with the pricetag or overall food. There are better places in town.

My mother and I stopped in for lunch today, when we arrived we asked the blonde short haired lady at the front (I believe was a manager) a simple question and have never been so rudely spoken to, she wouldn't even take the time to stop what she was doing and look at us, ignoring the fact, we waited to be seated and she completely ignored us and continued making drinks and then walked away, so we left. Never been before and we were both looking forward to it, however we will not waste our time coming back to be spoken to that was ignored. Very rude lady, unfortunate to have someone like that working in your establishment driving away customers. Will not recommend this place to anyone

Service was good however food delivery was very slow. Last few times here food was mediocre, returned or not what was ordered. Not coming back. Expect at least 45-50 minutes for food.
