BAJA Grill

My friend and I go to Baja Grill for lunch often and we love this place. The staff is great. We always get excellent, friendly, fast service. The food is always good. We go all year round, but in the summer, when we can sit on the patio, it's really special.

I appreciate that the staff recognizes us and knows our order the minute we walk through the door. Service is always attentive and professional. The food is hot and consistent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Worst possible experience in a restaurant… very much disappointed…. a full Review .. please read all the way as this might actually help you… I never got a restaurant deal from Group On and will never buy it again… I bought this deal for Baja Grill for $25 which supposed to serve us like a $43 service a lie right off the bat. A pitcher of Sangria/ beer was in the deal with a Vegetable Nachos with Guacamole… First of all Guacamole didn’t show up my fault at this point as if I would have paid attention I could have asked, or maybe I was shocked after seeing the Nachos. You think if this deal worth $43, then the Nachos should be a good one, and the Sangria pitcher … never mind… I was totally a fool … The Vegetable Nachos was a single layer chips with so much empty spaces in between nothing like a $15 Nachos, more like a $3 one, literally 5 pieces of mushrooms and 9 finger nail size pieces of green pepper.. please let me know if you want me to send the photo so you can count. Cheese was a scarce ingredient to taste in a dish that it’s all about cheese… Never mind the restaurants, I have had Nachos in Cinemas, Bowling and Comedy show clubs etc. and never been soooo disappointed… While in shock and hungry influenced by Sangria honestly it was okay, except the almost rotten watermelon on the edge of the pitcher, I decided to order Banderas…. The wraps was so soggy, seemed that they have been out of the freezer and put in the microwave 5 minutes ago needless to say that the chicken was half cold, half hot... just one word could describe it… Awful… Mr. Baja Grill !!! either DO NOT put a deal on GroupOn or DO NOT make it a discounted version… Never mind the deal of a Nachos and a pitcher of Sangria for $25 … if I would have bought them full price as a non-groupon customer ,, the Nachos was not even close to a $15 Nachos… Hygiene Review: 3 dead spiders and their net were on the window beside me where I was sitting. I didn’t say anything as I didn’t want my wife to freak out and leave the place. I secretly took a photo though that I am willing to share if anyone interested… I spend half an hour to let you know, you might become someone like me spending $50 and have terrible food…. oh one more thing…. the patio on this place is really nice … a really good view of Dow’s Lake… and that is the only positive point I can say about this restaurant. and a final joke to cheer you up: on the Group on page, the restaurant mentioned that since this deal is a $43 deal please tip accordingly…. haha ……….. it made me laugh out of pain sooo hard…

This place is dirty has bad service, bad ambience and bad food, bad prices... Ottawa has a number of great tex-mex and mex, mex fusion options. Dont eat here. I only did because of it's location and a groupon. Which they couldnt even process properly! They do an OK sprite. It tasted like sprite... but the lime they garnished it with was dried out and I couldnt squeeze any juice from it! It just boggles my mind why someone would even try to run a restaurant that sucks this much especially since they are up against lonestar for a similar theme/experience. And Im not a big fan of lonestar but its clean, the food is fresh and the service is fun. Its a fun environment. This place really has nothing going for it. I mean even the background music was played from distorted speakers that were poorly positioned and playing horrible music. Now I am a bit prejudiced against dirty, dusty grimy restaurants.

Food was cold and overpriced. Service was OK. Sangria was very good. Re-fried beans tasted bitter and "off". Dirty chairs and the table was sticky. Not a place we would go back to.

Worse than fast food. I had a taco salad which consisted a dried out taco shell, chicken, very little salsa, and a whole lot of lettuce...

The nachos were good, which left me totally unprepared for how terrible the rest of the food was. Service was mediocre.

Their beef burrito is not so much a burrito as it is a log of dry beef and beans. Rice was also dry af. Never again

Ate there saturday june 17th at around 5 pm. Entire family had food posioning, and missed a day of work because of it.
