Torta Boyz

This is a great success story of Ottawa food culture. Starting with a small mobile truck and finding that they have a market in Ottawa, Torta Boyz has come into his own with its physical restaurant location. Great to see this happen. This is the first time I have stopped by the restaurant location and I was very impressed with what they were able to create. The inside has a lot of great decorations and I love the “grass” around the ceiling. When you look at taco shops in town, El Camino is the best comparable in terms of style. The quality of the food was good. Meaning fressh ingredients. However, it was too salty and fatty. The fries was so salty . And sandwiches both salty and the bread was deeped in oil. For this reason I guess I was full so soon . So I could only have half a sandwich. The staff were so friendly and nice.

So, I could talk about the fries and the sandwiches like everyone else but I'm not going to. Of course they were awesome as all the other reviews state and you can read them to get more insight, but I jammed from the east end of the city to try to make it there and arrived at exactly 9:43pm. Yeah, I was that guy. I ran into the place and asked actually told one of the Boyz that I needed the fries. Now, you have to understand that the staff had just worked their whole shift and in comes this guy desperate for the fries, the pictures and reviews of which had left me salivating for weeks. Moodie sp informed me that he had just told the chef to shut down the fryers but upon seeing the dejection on my face, went back and asked and by the luck of Baby Jesus, he had not! Off they went and prepared the fries and a chicken sandwich and I can say that all praises must be given to the kitchen staff, who were watching the last customers leaving and they concocted the fries and sandwich to the exact same standard as though they had just started their shift. This shows the pride and pleasure that they get in providing a superior product which is consistent and awesome . Not enough praise is given to the people who are sweating behind the scenes and I would like to thank them for their awesomeness. I shall return as I live in the hood. Parking: Street

This is my First visit of I am sure will be many. I had the tacos, they were full of flavour and the pineapple added a great sweet cut to the medium heat. Loved it and I look forward to trying other dishes.

Amazing food, drinks, and service! Had some tacos, the asada fries, and the tuna tostada, which is mind-blowingly delicious! Finished it off with some beautiful churros. Super fast and friendly staff made it all that much better. Highly recommend!

Sandwich is delicious. Fries are equally as tasty; possibly the crunchiest fries I've ever had. The Carne Asada sandwich is huge and it alone will put you in a food coma. -I do wish instead of $20 for just a sandwich, it would be a slightly smaller sandwich + fries on the side.

Really cute spot! Great ambiance and location! Service was also fantastic. We got the carne asada fries, fish tacos, and the pastor torta. Definitely get the Carne Asada Fries and tacos.. they were delicious! The pastor torta was alright, but wouldn't get it again. We got the spicy margarita and hibiscus cocktail too..for the price they were a little small, but tasty nonetheless. Carne Asada Fries were the real winner!

Amazing service, amazing food and drinks. The margaritas are amazing. And the sandwiches are to die for. Fish tacos are a must. Personally the best fish tacos in ottawa.

Got the steak sandwich and asada Frys. The asada frys stole the show. Excellent taste, display and portion. Nice little restaurant. This is what you call a hole in the wall! Enjoyed the atmosphere!

Amazing fries so crispy with best toppings. They must be coated or double fried as they are soooooo crispy. Pickled onions and fried cauliflower were my favourite toppings just go with their menu it's all good - just mentioning my favourite bites.
