Mona’s Taqueria

A cute little place! We went around lunchtime on a Thursday - it wasn't very busy- and had the friendliest servers. The cocktails were delicious and a great to sip while on the patio. The food was flavorful, though the portions weren't overly generous, and presented in a delightful way. Mona's is a great place to stop in for a light and summer-y meal

This taqueria reminds me a little too much of home-cooking. Meaning that everything is pretty authentic, but the food is at times bland or very simple. Take the bistec steak taco: I got served a lazily chopped steak that was chewy and under-seasoned. The cactus salad too; while I appreciate the chance to have it this far north, this could have used some salt and aromatics. Tres leches, again pretty tasty, just wish it soaked up more milk. I sound a little harsh against a welcoming, authentic restaurant, but those are my honest thoughts. I would still recommend coming here if you like Mexican food.

What an unexpected joy! Found this place by accident visiting our son for Christmas!! Best Chimichanga I’ve have ever had! Quesadilla and Tacos are fresh and delicious!! This is as good as I have had on my many trips to Cabo; maybe even better. Will definitely be on our list when we return in August!!

Tacos were phenomenal! Ordered chicken, carnitas, chorizo, all were incredible. Hot sauce was also really good !! Only thing I’d say is the service was non existent, didn’t ask if we wanted drinks and by the time he came with our tacos we had to get going quick from out of town and stopped in for a quick bite . No plates, no napkins, no check ins, flagged him down to ask for the bill and again, nothing. Had to just leave cash on the table and leave as we were short in time. Tacos = amazing tons of flavour and proper tacos ! Service = I mean at that point just don’t have servers, could have made at least another $50 on our bill if we had proper service drinks, more food, etc Would return for the food

You can’t go wrong with a $10 special for 4 Tacos on a Tuesday. You can choose any two types from several options such as mushrooms or shredded beef. I tried the mushroom and the chicken, while the mushroom tacos were good, the chicken was bursting with flavour!! Also tried the Leches milk cake for dessert which was very delicious!

Its a nice place with a good atmosphere. We went here for lunch and ordered tacos, a horchata and mocktail. The tacos were just ok. The mushroom taco was actually the better tasting one. The chicken in the chicken tacos were bland, soggy and looked like mush. But the other tacos were ok. The horchata wasn't that good unfortunately because it was very watery but still super sweet.

I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Everything is handmade, inhouse. Fresh, healthy, and very little salt used. Bursting with flavours!! I had a Mushroom Volcane and it was insanely delicious. I also ordered the Cactus Salad...oh my word!! So refreshing and satisfying. If I could describe my first bite of this Mexican Specialty it would be an explosion of flavours and textures in my mouth all at once. A lovely little outside patio is an option, or inside their very clean dining room. Service was really nice, and our server was very knowledgable about the entire menu. Excellent vegetarian options as well as scrumptious meat selections. Highly recommended!!!!! #localguide

Finally ethnic Mexican food and that south of the US boarder vibe. Felt like we were on vacation. We were thrilled with the atmosphere, friendly service and quality of the food. It was delicious. The margarita are a killer. "So good." They also have a market store for all your Mexican make at home dishes for ingredients you can't find at your local grocery store.

Food is delicious! Best tacos I had in a while. Drinks also were great. Reason I am giving 3 stars is because service was extremely slow and our waiter never bothered with our table other than taking our order. We always had to waive him to come to our table and it was not crazy busy. If they fix their service this place would be the be the place to go for tacos.

My partner and I decided to stop by for lunch, and the restaurant itself had nice decor, so we were hopeful. The service was good, nothing to complain about on that front. However, the food was... bad. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl. It was overly cold and incredibly watery. The bottom of the bowl had a layer of liquid that made it quite unappealing. My partner got quesadillas and, similarly, it dripped liquid like crazy. I am pretty certain they used frozen ingredients and they likely thawed it by "cooking" it. I use this as an explanation because other possible explanations would frankly be worse. I wish I could explain the amount of water in both of our choices, because it was disgusting. I cannot recommend a visit to the restaurant. The only thing saving it from a one star rating is that the decor and service were good.
