I went a week ago for the first time and my oh my was this food so delicious! Their baklava is the very best that I have ever had! And the food that I ordered was absolutely delicious! Everything was so fresh and the lamb gyro was perfection! I certainly will be going there again!Dine in: Yes
I don't usually eat gyro but this place has a very unique taste gyro with just a perfect amount of flavor not overpowering anything. The iraqi chicken wings were delicious with amazing sauces on the side. Was a good decision on my way back to home NYC. Five stars from me.Food: 5/5
So I was very hungry staying over at the Marriott, went over to salt market and found this gem. I was debating between having both a Gyro, and a chicken sandwich, but, I thought that would be may be a little bit too much. So I opted in for the mixed grill over french fries. Came with a huge Pita, so I could make my own mini wrap. Only thing I wish I would’ve got after I got back to my room was so hummus. The food was delicious and I was absolutely stuffed. Nice wind of spices, and fresh vegetables. Will definitely be back.
The flavors were great, although some pieces of meat were a bit tough and the pita hard. We ordered extra sauces delicious so that helped. I’d eat there again though, maybe around a different time of day, to try more of what they have to offer.
Very friendly staff. Food is delicious and fresh. Kids loved gyros. Sampler appetizer plate is very good. Dolmas were one if the best we tried so far. Dishes presentation is amazing, considering how fast the service was. I highly recommend the place.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
We had the chicken shawarma platter, one with rice and one with fries. The staff is nice and the food is delicious. Would definitely go back and recommend!
Located inside Salt City Market. Chicken shawarma was juicy and flavourful. The garlic was actually pretty good, and the fries were thick and golden. The salad wasn’t anything special. Chicken shawarma plate was tasty, but for the price it wasn’t a lot of food. Where I live, I’m used to the plates being loaded with chicken/beef that would easily feed two people. I would recommend getting the sandwiches instead of passing that much for a plate. Next time I’ll try the beef, or the Kabab sandwiches.
Nice and yummy food. The service was fairly fast and a decent menu. Their kabab and shwarma were good. Overall, food and ambiance were nice. I ordered kabsa, and it was good, but it was full of cheese that was stuck to the bottom of the plate. It is better to add more fries at the bottom and less cheese to make it more tasty. Sauces and salads were good I was happy to find miranda there and had it with my meal.
The chicken schwarma was amazing! Tried the Baba Ghanoush. Never had it and didn’t know what to expect, definitely interesting! I think I’d stick to hummus in the future lol
We were so impressed with Salt City Market that we came back as we were passing through Syracuse again. There are so many wonderful options it’s hard to choose what to order. We wanted to circle back to try Baghdad. The week before we were drooling over the chicken, beef and lamb shawarmas that were cooking. We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon in time for an early dinner and were sad to hear that all the varieties were already sold out. Definitely a bit disappointing but understandable since they looked and smelled amazing. We ordered the beef kebabs which came with a plate of rice and some pickled veggies and a yogurt sauce. The food was cooked quickly and was very fresh. The meat was tender and utilized a wonderful assortment of spices. The veggies and yogurt sauce were nice complements and played off the seasoning. This was a very generous potion and fed 2 hungry people. The prices were very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend you stop by.
