The Fish Friar is an elevated fish fry experience in downtown Syracuse. We source our seafood directly from a local shop in Portland, Maine and get it to our doorstep within 24 hours. In addition, our sides and sauces are home-made daily and our selection of craft beer and fine wine is highly exclusive.

Had food here twice after long runs from farther south. Food was good both times. If I am back in Syracuse and want fish, I'd go here again.
Loved it! I got takeout and my food was ready exactly when it said it was going to be and was hot! The fries were bomb!! The lobster roll was delicious and the shrimp and fish was awesome. They also make their own sauces and the dill sauce was so good!! Would definitely recommend!!

Best fried fish and seafood we've ever had! The french fries are awesome too! The coleslaw, delish! The house salad is fabulous! The fish is so fresh that you'd think you'd just caught it! We love this place when we are in Syracuse!
Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, with great music to boot! Proper distancing, and amazing food with generous portion sizes.
The vinaigrette on the side salad was awesome. My partner got the fried haddock plate which he also said was very good. The whole covid operation was very efficient with the front being blocked off and bags with names placed on tables. If you are looking to try a new place during quarantine I highly recommend.
