I got fish tacos, they were good.. an absurd amount of pico on it though and fish where pretty small.nHusband got the burger with maple on it. Very good also, a $4 up charge to get fries instead of chips thoughnFairly nice environment, mix between dingy bar and a ski resort.nService was average
One of the few establishments in Stowe open “late” 10PM every night of the week.nnHidden behind other businesses, pushed up against a rock face and with its dirt and gravel parking lot, this place seems sufficiently and authentically Vermont. There is inside and outside seating.nnThe food selection contained bar food staples as well as creative and unique offerings. There is a focus on tater tots which were crispy and delicious.nnWe opted for mocktails which were also creative.nnThe service was slow and clumsy although friendly. Friendliness goes a long way in compensating for any other deficiencies in service. Importantly, our meal arrived hot from the kitchen.nnOverall a satisfying meal and we will add this restaurant to our list of regulars.
This place is worth a stop! The food was great, absolutely no complaints; all off the food was delicious and fresh. I can't even say that our server was happy... he was jolly! He made enthusiastic recommendations and ensured that everything we got was hot and fresh. I got the mushroom and swiss burger. I never get burgers at a restaurant due to quality concerns, and I'm sure glad that I tried one here! I asked for rare, and that's exactly what I got. I would definitely eat here again if I'm back in the area!
We ate a late dinner at the Backyard on arrival in the city of Stowe Vermont.nOur meals were fish Tacos and Steak Tacos, both were not outstanding, however it helped us to get over our hunger after a long Amtrak train ride from NYC.
Best burger that I have ever had. Ordered the headbanger and tots. Amazing quality burger and very crispy tots. Staff was amazing and great beers on tap. 10/10 must stop when in Stowe.
