Avis Car Rental

As a weekly Avis Preferred Plus renter I was taken back by the inconsistency of the service level provided at this location versus other Avis locations I have visited throughout Eastern and Western Canada. When I arrived for my first rental experience I was not offered the one vehicle class upgrade (vehicles were available) as entitled being a Preferred Plus client. The agent said any upgrades are an additional cost of nearly double my daily rate.. After referencing this policy on their website and still nothing I gave up and took the pre-assigned car.. I walked through the unkept lot in shin deep snow to make it to my white Chevrolet Impala .. after clearing the vehicle free of snow and scraping the ice off the windshield (this was an existing reservation of which I showed up on time for by the way) I then embarked on my journey to Halifax, NS - As I pulled out I noticed the vehicle had only HALF A TANK OF FUEL! When I called he said "Oh sorry, so you can either go fill it and bring me the receipt or I will knock $40 off your rental for the half tank", for the sake of time I opted for the adjustment to my bill. I returned my rental that Saturday approximately 20 minutes after this location closed, dropped my key in the drop box and took a taxi home at my expense. The next day I got a push notification on my phone that my vehicle had been checked in and moments later an e-receipt to my email account. I was floored when I seen the bill... not only did this location NOT reimburse me for the missing half tank of fuel but charged me for a full extra day!!! Luckily I noticed this and called to have it fixed... I hate to rent with anyone else from Avis as they've been so good to me for the last couple of years at other locations... but this has definitely been my worst Avis experience to date! Quite honestly I think it was the arrogance of Mr. Avis standing behind the counter that seems to think he can dictate Avis Corps. policies and procedures as he see's fit.. UPDATE: Upon voicing this to Avis Head-Office they have acknowledged this issue and advised me to pull up the website on my phone to show the agent the free upgrade (when available) that is to be offered to all Preferred Plus clients. They have also issued me a $50US rental coupon which was much appreciated!!

Rented a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze yesterday night, worked a 14hrs shift today only to find a flay on car and road assistance will be here in 1 hrs. 90$ for mechanical issues FUNN
