Aveda Salon Spa Academie

Products smell nice, environment is peaceful but the actual service itself is sub-par and overpriced. Getting a facial costs between $50 to $100 or more and consists only of having cream applied to your face and left on for a few minutes. The staff seem to like cutting corners and don't complete the entire treatment indicated on the website (extractions, etc), although they are friendly. By far the most annoying aspect of a trip to Aveda is that the entire service turns into a very un-relaxing advertisement for their products, where they relentlessly push you to buy Aveda products after the treatment (which are obscenely overpriced, and after a bit of research I discovered they're NOT sustainably sourced, and that they use ingredients from disputed land. Aveda is actually just a sub-branch of Estée Lauder, whose chairman has shady affiliations with expanding illegal settlements). There are plenty of other spas in this city that are much better priced, have a better moral reputation, and are less commercially-oriented than this one.

Skip this place, I used to go there for hair, stopped because I found somewhere else where they are far more competent. Gave it a shot for eyebrows and ended up with one eye brow much thinner than the other. Finally gave it a shot for french manicure, and I cannot believe the state of my nails when the manicurist was done. I could have done a better job, I have never had a professional french manicure done so poorly. With smudging on the white line, and uneven thickness of the white lines between each finger.

They're overpriced and they do not do a great job with color at all especially if you're blonde that usually do to Gray and if you try to get good bags that usually over cut way too much on the edges of your face I know their reputation seems like it's good with the Aveda name but no these guys are clueless

I'm very pleased with my experience at Aveda. The thorough wash, massage and treatment was so relaxing. Yuki did an amazing job with my hair - I didn't want too much off just a good trim and reshaping. I left extremely pleased! Thanks again Yuki :)

Just had my hair cut by a jeune professionnel, Therese. I am so incredibly pleased with my experience! Therese was extremely knowledgable about dealing with my curly hair, and offered me a couple treatments perfectly suited to my needs. I cannot recommend Therese enough - she has left me with the best haircut I've ever gotten!
