Visited the rapid care clinic for a appointment today. Arrived around 7:15 and got in at 8:30. Fantastic experience overall. The dermatologist was kindhearted and very detailed. They outlined and explained both the treatment I would be receiving and other possible treatments I could explore. I would definitely recommend this clinic. Although you may need to wait a undetermined amount of time at the rapid access clinic you can’t complain about the accessibility of being able to get a same day dermatology appointment. I appreciate the help!
After reading all the reviews I was super worried about the quality of care I would receive at the clinic however I was delightfully surprised. I arrived at 6:05 and was about 7th in line. I waited outside until around 7:15 then I went inside was registered and was offered a seat inside only happens if you’re within the first 10 people to arrive. The staff were very clear and strict with guidelines which could come off as rude but really was just them being overwhelmed and trying to take charge of the clinic. I waited for about 20 minutes once inside the clinic then was called by a nice young man into an office. I was promptly seen and out the door before 8am. Dr Kim was very educated and kind and even answered my questions and concerns. Make sure to have your doctor forward your fax beforehand as well as bring in a printed copy of it as well as your health card. There is also a bathroom available for you to use while you wait. Dr Kim honestly made the wait worth it but please if you visit this clinic arrive at 6am because if you arrive any later than 6:15 you will probably wait an hour to be seen after registering. The hours claim to be 8-11 but honestly they get so busy that they probably stop registering people at like 9:30. So make sure to show up as early as you can in order to be seen as early and quickly as possible. They also do not take morning appointments so you will most likely be seen the fastest by just showing up at 6am and being patient. Keep in mind I also went on a Friday so it might have been more busy than usual but it’s better to show up early with a coffee and headphones or a book and just sit or wait outside than to wait hours to register and see the doctor.
I was nervous coming here after reading the reviews but honestly I had a great experience! I arrived a bit later 7:30 but the line to register wasn't absurd, probably waited ~45 minutes midweek. There were signs that indicated the estimated wait time based on where you were in line which were helpful. The registration process was extremely organized. Both front desk staff were so patient with everyone and they were very pleasant. One of them even mentioned he remembered my voicemail! I think this shows they really care, and are serious about helping people, despite how busy the clinic is. The physician I saw was very personable and helpful. Overall, I was super super impressed. Thank you for having this clinic open as an option.
Just what I needed! Rapid access to medical specialist for very urgent, but non-emergency situations. I was initially referred urgently to a dermatologist and then as my symptoms progressed, referred here, and was able to be seen and started treatment the next morning. I subsequently got a call for an appointment from the initial referral to be seen a day later by now I had already started treatment so no need to be seen by another dermatologist! The staff were efficient and the consult was quick and accurate. I am very grateful for this service. The clinic opened at 8am and I arrived at 7:30 to be greeted by a long lineup! Thankfully, the registration was relatively quick and I was able to get an appointment about an hour from registration. Upon return to the clinic for my appointment, the registration had been closed for the day. There needs to be more of these available as demand is clearly high!
I was referred to the clinic by my family doctor. I decided to search for details about the clinic and I confess that I was hesitant going there because of all the negative reviews. Not only the ratings, but also some of the described experiences of previous patients. With that said, I saw that there were almost an equal amount of positive reviews and considering my limited availability I decided to give the clinic a chance today. And, I'm extremely happy that I did! Knowing the chaos that is the current health care system in Ontario and having read many reviews, I set out early to the location. I arrived at the address around 6.55am and there were ten people ahead of me. By 7.15am I had registered and was informed to come back around 8.10am. I came back at exactly 8.08am and as I was lining up a staff came out and called my name. By 8.15am I had been seen by Dr. Singh and left the clinic with good news about my skin condition. I can't praise the front staff enough. Both Greg who helped me register and Spencer are doing a tremendous job. They're attentive, kind and they know what they are doing. As for Dr. Singh, he was also extremely attentive and helpful. He took his time to explain things and I left feeling confident on his diagnosis. If it's still not obvious, I wanted to say that my experience here was amazing and wanted to thank again all the staff for the great job they are doing.
The website says to arrive early for the walk-in, and we did. Pay attention to that. It opens at 8:00am. We got there at 7:40am. We waited about 40 minutes to register. I feel they were efficient, friendly, and helpful. The doctor was great. The office was clean and organized. Other than the wait which was expected, it was a very good experience, and I’d recommend this dermatologist office to anyone not wanting to wait months for an appointment.
I reached the walk-in clinic at 7:15 am and had to wait in line outside for nearly 55 minutes before they registered me. After registration, they ask you to leave and send you a text about 10 minutes before the dermatologist can see you. I saw the doctor at 9:01 am for exactly 4 minutes before I was out again by 9:05 am. I’d say my experience was good for the most part, but due to the doctor seemingly being in a hurry to see the next patient, I didn’t get the proper time to think over my diagnosis and ask relevant questions because I felt like I had to think very fast. However, I’m still quite satisfied, as a walk-in was more convenient than having to wait months for an appointment.
I arrived at 6:55am and there were already about 12 people in line. The clinic began registering people before 8am and I was seen by approx. 8:30am. The physician was nice and understandably saw me very quickly probably 3 minutes before deciding I needed a biopsy. I didn’t know the biopsy was not going to be done by him and I didn’t get to speak with him after. This was fine as I had no other questions but something to keep in mind! The RN did a fantastic job with the biopsy and I barely even felt the freezing needles go in. Appreciate this clinic as it allowed me to get answers much faster. Would recommend!
I got there 07:45 got to see a doctor at 0935 When i arrived there was a long line They have a process and it works You register then go outside and wait to me messaged to come back in. There are coffee spots in the area or you can take a scroll through the distillery district which is just behind. There is also parking just outside on the street They follow strict adherence to covid 19 protocols wear your mask social distance inside If you are a senior suggest take a chair Of course it is unfortunate that wait times are ridiculous but please remember that the clinic has absolutely no control over this and are doing there best to provide specialists service. I was able to see a doctor and received a good diagnosis in a timely manner
Fantastic experience! I came in with very low expectations and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant doctor appointments to date. I arrived at 6:55am and was the 6th person in line. Doors opened promptly at 7am and I was registered in 10 minutes. Their receptionists are extremely pleasant, professional and keep everything moving very quickly and efficiently. I ended up seeing a doctor shortly after 8am and also had a great experience. Did not feel rushed. On the contrary, the doctor took her time to explain everything to me.
