Great little hardware store, centrally located in downtown area, family run, staff are friendly and hospitable
Great family run business in the hart of Hamilton When you get a delivery they do not just dump it on your front lawn or in the street The gentleman will help carry it in
The people who work here are always incredible, super friendly and helpful. The store always have everything you need and a great selection of of lumber too. Wether you are a professional or a homeowner there is always a wide array of plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, painting and other supplies available. For a small store they always seem to have everything we need. Go here first before shopping at a big box store!
Horrible customer service. No one working there wants to help anyone. Being close it is convenient but I have never had any help from them. So sad.
Great people. Very helpful . Always have what I need or will order for me. Best prices . Very realistic on value. Customer service outstanding. Love this local hardware store. Plenty of parking out front.
If you in need EMC for repairs parts or any constructions materials. You can come here . Second if ..you dont mind the price...
friendly helpful staff.. good for general needs unfortunately size doesn't allow large enough varieties of options. other than size great place to support
Has most things I need, knowledgeable staff, a little bit more expensive than other places but the convenience of having a full hardware store downtown is a decent trade-off.
I always receive great customer service at Arruda's Hardware. Not only are they kind and helpful but also very knowledgeable. I love that you can find absolutely everything you need there!
It was suggested that I go to this local hardware store Arrudas from a couple of local contractors that I work with. They said it was a great store. Both times I have been there, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. My first experience there was in March during the beginning stages of the pandemic. I had called in advance to see if they had an outdoor light gasket. The woman on the phone seem bothered by my question, despite me telling her exactly what the part was. She put the phone down, got it, came back and said she had it. I went, and waited outside for them to bring the part out. They had a debit machine, and because I didn't want to touch anything I used Apple Pay. For whatever reason, it declined. I asked to try again, with my card, because I knew there were funds in my account. The man rolled his eyes and made an audible sigh, and said "yeah yeah". I took out my wallet and paid with my card, and obviously it went through. Thinking it was just a one time, bad day. I decided to give them another chance today, while looking for a kitchen oven element. I arrived and waited in my designated spot. The older gentleman at the first till didn't even acknowledge me and seemed to busy to notice I had even entered. The guy behind the second till finished with his first customer and then it was my turn. I greeted him with a friendly "hello" and he just stared at me. I asked if he had the burner element, and showed him from a distance on my phone. He looked as if I was showing him something he had never seen before, and then finally without saying anything brought me to the part of the store where he thought they might be, and then said "yeah we don't have anything like that". I said "okay, no worries thank you" and he didn't say anything. The younger gentleman wasn't even wearing his mask correctly, He had it slightly under his nose, instead of over his nose - which is required by law in Hamilton due to the Pandemic. I ended up going to another local store and getting way better service, and the part I needed. The two times I have been there I have been made to feel like I'm inconveniencing them. I guess because I'm not one of their "regulars" they don't care about my business. This is too bad because they are literally right down the street from me and I like to try to support local businesses. Tips for management: Try not to seem so grumpy, and put off by people coming to you for help. You were recommended and since I trusted the people that sent me, I expected the service to be amazing. Not everyone knows everything about being a handyman, but if you want people to support your business, then why not be helpful instead of grumpy.
