I like coming to Arnie's Bakery & Restaurant...they have great breakfast and lunches! Never been here for Supper...I love how clean and friendly the waitress'es are! While waiting for your breakfast and drinking my coffee, they bring you a warm complimentary Danish w lite frosting...Yummy😊 I ordered pancakes and eggs w bacon, coffee. I love pancakes...but, disappointed that their pancakes had a strong bitter taste after the first bite. I mentioned to Waitress, who mentioned they use some old fashion batter etc. The waitress was kind and brought me some swirl cinnamon toast...it was still a delight to visit Arnie's again...

Not my first bad experience at this location... Ordered the Chicken pot pie from the filthy, sticky and ragged menu, only to be informed that they no longer have it...but it's still on the menu(?). Okay, so I ordered the ribs instead with soup and salad. Ribs came (they were cold by the way) with the salad, instead of the salad first as we had ordered, but no soup. 10 minutes later, I was informed that they ran out of the soup I had ordered, so I ordered a different soup, which came 10 mins later. I guess people here eat their soup after their meal? Only it came without a spoon. Waited 10 mins for a spoon, and finally got up and asked the cashier for a one. Who seemed reluctant to provide one. The waitress came by 15 minutes later and tossed a spoon on my plate while staring at the one already in the bowl. This waitress was not apologetic in the least for any of this, in fact, she found her incompetence very humorous and seemed completely detached from the situation. As confirmed by the other two people who were with me. Who also concurred, that their food wasn't even very good at all. I will still go to the Arnie's on Leonard St., that one is great. This one should be shut down in order to uphold Arnie's reputation. No one would miss it, I'm sure.

We love eating at Arnie's Bakery in Grand Rapids. The food is well prepared and served hot. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. The best part of an Arnie's visit are the desserts. Prices are reasonable.

Great food, great place to talk away a weekend morning or bring the family. Courteous staff, generous menu options and portions, Arnie's has all of what a restaurant needs to become a favorite tradition!

Restaurant food is great, but the bakery items leave a lot to be desired. Pecan coffee cake: minimal pecans, not done in middle; 'bear claws'...dried out! I no longer purchase the once famous Arnie's baked goods! Either new owners or new bakers...do wish they'd go back to the original goodies they once produced!
